Was it really a redemption arc though? She was selfish to the end.
I agree. I think that the reason that Cheon Sang-Yeon finally appreciates and loves Ryu Eun-Jang is Sang-Yeon's impending death and recognition that Ryu Eun-Jang is the only person who will help. It's a huge burden for anyone to accompany an assisted suicide and this is for someone who has deliberately hurt Ryu Eun-Jang multiple times in the past but Cheon Sang-Yeon still pressures Ryu Eun-Jang. So, yes, Cheon Sang-Yeon is selfish to the end. I was trying (and evidently failing) to show that it was less about any Cheon Sang-Yeon redemption arc (she did appreciate Ryu Eun-Jang in the end but that's not much of a redemption arc), than it was about Ryu Eun-Jang making peace with Cheon Sang-Yeon and valuing their relationship despite all of the hurtful things Cheon Sang-Yeon said and did in the past. What do you think?

Review The Double
Since you have watched Love Like the Galaxy, could you say that it is a parody on that drama and on this genre?
I kept thinking that Duke Su's two sidekicks were a copy of Ling Buyi's two but it never occurred to me that the entire drama might be a parody of Love Like the Galaxy. Now that you mention it, however, I can't unsee it!
