Aside from an incredible command of the English language ( English major?) and having an absolute flair in describing even the most monotonous of episodes as creative masterpieces, your critique and analysis of characters and themes is always on point 👏

I appreciate your commentary which I found particularly informative although I would be hesitant to agree with you in relation to Taiwanese productions such as Unknown and The On1ly One being incest based. I know this is a sensitive topic for some but neither “couples” in those productions were related by blood so it is perhaps technically incorrect to tag them as being such.

Agree with you there about Tonkla. It would appear that he is much more invested in this relationship emotionally than Korn given his facial expressions and the way he seeks Korn’s comfort when his brother dies. Does Tokla know about Fai? I’m not sure 🤔 He might have some kind of inkling given he was present when Korn mentioned Fai to his father so perhaps deep down he knows Korn can’t fully commit to him. Is Korn a sleaze? Perhaps. I’m heterosexual , living in a very open minded country with liberal parents so I personally wouldn’t know what it’s like to have to deal with such rigid family pressures and obligations and to “save face”. I’d like to think Korn is not as bad of a jackass as perhaps currently portrayed. We shall wait and see 🤷‍♀️

I’m not sure whether I would go to the extent of saying that they are in a committed monogamous relationship . Korm is after all doing some other “deeds” with Fai. Also, when Korn’s father calls him in episode 1, he says he’s with Fai and not Tonkla so it doesn’t appear that anyone really knows about Korn and Tonkla’s relationship. My view is that he probably feels affection for Tonkla but can’t commit (for a variety of reasons - family obligations, societal pressure/norms etc) hence he’s trying to keep the relationship purely physical rather than deeply emotional. Safe sex aside (which is important of course) you would want to go unprotected with a partner that you deeply love and care about and I’m not sure whether Tonkla is that for Korn. Just my 2 pence worth 🤷‍♀️

Do you mean the person getting shot in the first few minutes of the opening scene? I’m pretty sure that’s Tyme and not Great. As for the heart patient going into cardiac arrest, it could be anyone but perhaps likely it is either Thyme or Great🤷‍♀️
