Maybe if I binge watched the whole show, I would feel differently and it might then seem as a more normal "slightly romantic" drama ( cause now now I can see the plot is taking a new turn) but just based on the first 8 episodes, the plot was packed with the abuse- thankfully, it is changing at this point....
