Is the dubbing ass? Yes, but did it deter me from enjoying this? Definitely no. It's not everyday in bl where we see a ml checking (literally staring so hard) out mc's peach so often lol. The storyline is good and interesting too genuinely can't wait for the next eps!!
Wow after reading the other comments I feel too woke because this was definitely weird and creepy af for me. At first I thought it was maybe just a genuine concern rather than something romantical when yu geon pitched to tutor jeong yeon but when he said to adult jeong yoen that he still felt like he was in HIGH SCHOOL in ep 2 before them KISSING, like ik he didn't initiate it but he didn't resist it either and the reaction after that like wtf?? That was it for me and after reading the spoilers here it sounds way more worse. I rarely drop any series no matter how bad it gets but this was just straight up uncomfortable to watch, well atleast for me.
This series had been on my watchlist since what like dinosaur era maybe and I'm so glad I finally gave it a chance and completed it. It's been so long since I've enjoyed an ml this much in a bl, akafuji is absolutely hilarious the comedy is not awkward at all, I literally had to rewind some scenes because I couldn't stop laughing and I personally believe executing comedy well is way more harder than crying scenes so I was pleasantly surprised but my favourite thing was how this series blended the comedic and emotional scenes so well nothing felt abrubt or out of a sudden as it happens often in many romcom bls and trust me when I say eyesore is an understatement to those scenes. All in all a REALLY enjoyable watch and honestly I can't even be mad about low eps since I can jump to s2 rn (perks of being late I guess ðŸ¤)
People here had already said most of the things I wanted to say (the good one's) So I just wanna add no matter what others say I hope china and Taiwan NEVER stops making these kind of sick and twisted bl's where yearning and angst is immaculate, ughhh they do it SO freaking good. Does your man really love you if he can't drink poison for you and later on raze a whole kingdom to the ground while going on a war JUST to see you? This was PEAK doomed yaoi. I bawled my eyes out in the ending, They were NEVER once at fault and whatever they desired wasn't too much they just wanted to live happily with each other ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ All the fault was of their circumstances and surroundings they were in, literal definition of "right person wrong place/timing", that ending scene where they met again was the only thing that kept my sanity fr. I was also really interested in the crown prince and huo yings story, they had so much potential istg and shen shong can just have me idc, I'm so mad at myself for starting this so late and it PHYSICALLY hurts me to see this series being so underrated.
I agree with the other's that the ending was kind of rushed particularly with the nc scenes but it didn't change my opinion of the series in the slightest bit. It's been so long since I've seen a plot so refreshing and well done at that too, it would have been perfect if they had more eps to explore the story in depth but I'm glad that they atleast delivered what this story was trying to convey with limited time so beautifully especially in initial eps somehow that part didn't feel rushed at all, atleast to me. Both the actors had very good Chemistry and them being eye candies was such a plus point I was running laps in my room like a crazed maniac with ogami's moaning particularly that "hmm" when kano told him to wait in the nc scene (I'm too much of a simp for good looks 😔) I love how their whole world didn't revolve around each other they had their own personalities and problems. I didn't get attached to them as a couple but I cared for them as individual characters (y'all get what I'm trying to say right?) I also love how ogami liked kano in both worlds but had so much difference at the same time too, I really wished to see their couple arc more ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. Overall a very good watch for me, It physically hurts me to see this series not getting the hype it deserves 💔 (lastly sorry for my bad english)

Hmmm not showing the fried chicken date between the mc and ml but shoving us with chan young practising tennis on the screen for god knows how many times on just one ep is definitely a choice. The first 2 ep were SO good considering how they butchered the trailer so I'm confused what is going on now? I will always have a soft spot for dramas starting with the main characters already being involved with each other romantically like ik there is 99.99 percent guaranteed good angst in further episodes and I'm a sucker for it. The pacing is good for a 6 ep short series with drama and angst and oh these boys can KISS like omg go boy give us everything (This lowkey reminds me of our dating sim I loved that series), The only problem here is I feel like I should have let this one marinate though, it will be a torture waiting for ep 2 ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
This is why I rarely trust mdl ratings and comments somehow we are never on the same page because this whole series was so frustrating to watch for me. The concept and plot of this series was really refreshing and good but both the main characters especially toma and how they expressed their emotions were so bad for me. Oh toma where should I begin? Considering how they began to date since ep 2 I barely remember any instances in the whole series where he tried to assure the mc for any misunderstandings face to face all of this were solved through other characters communicating with mc and him feeling guilty and sad later for the ml's "effort" which was nowhere to be seen in the series for the audience to atleast connect with toma just a half baked uwu backstory with no depth and what funny is homeboy gets mad and possesive when mc actually try to express his frustration. I liked the mc although I think he is kind of an airhead and pathetic atleast he is straightforward and speak his mind even with anxiety, I wished he didn't refused an opportunity for just picking up the ml it's so unfair for him I couldn't even enjoy their first kiss and nc scenes because of it. Overall the series was an a** for me the ml was hella overpowered with plot armor which was painfully obvious, ik this is all fiction but it was still no less than a torture for me.
Pls pls plsss pls plssssss don't have non-con sex!!! In the manga the ml assaulted mc so many times even after his refusal, there was one scene where he even locked himself in the bathroom but the ml still forced his way under and assaulted him again although it's written in a very light way by making mc's body react in response. I hope it's deviate from that 🤞 and even if it doesn't I better not see people romanticising or justifying it like some readers. Waiting for next ep will actually make me go bald now ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Now this is how you do a short series, it was perfect for me, no unnecessary drama just character building and plot advancement in a good phase. I love love love loooved kaido, it's not very usual to find a mc like him in bl's. He may have self doubts and all but at the same time he was so unapologetically himself from the start. ryuji is very different too, he is such a green flag I loved how his character wasn't just rushed to instantly like kaido but him actually experiencing the whole process of being confused and finally deciding to give themselves a chance for more progress in their relationship (I saw some people complaining how he was pressured and rushed 🙄) which was so beautiful and realistic. it's rare to see this type of bond even in straight dramas. I wish I could give this more than 10, this series seriously deserved atleast more than 8.5 in ratings 😔

It's the adaptation of dakaichi right? Although it's been long since I've read that manga I remember it being very angsty so I'm looking forward to this, Both the actors have such good chemistry too.
