This drama is not that similar to the Untamed; Id say there is like no overlap in storyline, plot, characters (except for two male leads), or universe, meaning that liking one show does not mean you like the other. Word of honor is martial arts centered (aka Wuxia) : There are a bunch of sects with different martial arts and organizations and the main characters are on a journey. There is an emphasis on Sects (aka martial art clans) , Master-Disciple relationships, honor, righteousness, eliminating evil, martial art skills/ wire fu. There are other types as well - Xianxia- Gods/Godesses + GCI , Palace type dramas (like where all the action happens in the palace and theres shceming) , Blend dramas (Palace types + Wuxia - like Joy of life (theres politics and kungfu). My personal picks for each would be Xianxia - Three lives three worlds peach blossoms , Blend (Joy of life), Wuxia : this drama, Condor Heroes trilogy, Palace types - I dont watch them (havent found one i liked). For Word of Honor the plot is fairly simple: ZZS and WKX are walking around and doing stuff. The 5 lakes alliance refers to 5 sects that are allied as the leaders are all sword brothers. The Ghost Tribe is an unorthodx "evil" sect. The plot is clean : no fillers. Pace slows down around episode 20 to help unravel stuff (Its pretty good). Oh Yeah internal energy is like chi basically, it helps with martial arts and stuff and you can use it to heal people if theyre injured / power up your strikes. Overall Word of Honor is really good and i did simplify it a little bit but the costumes, plot, scenery, acting is superb probably the best drama ive watched so far (Joy of life is a close second)
