For people wondering how TTJ's soul survived. In the novel, right before TTJ sacrificed himself, he became a God. He was inside of the All-in-Distress array. The tiger demon was with him. TTJ made the tiger swallow a seal that cleansed it. But as the tiger is ignorant, right before TTJ sent it out of the formation, it swallowed the dissipating soul of TTJ. After 1k years, his demon soul was condensed and it was thrown in the mortal world. When he first became conscious, there was a voice in his mind telling him to let it all go and live a normal life in ChangLe town, and he thought in this life he will not marry, not have kids, will not be power hungry, and he will live his life in lonliness. He indeed did have a seal on his memories, or so LSS tought, as it was implied he remebered his life as TTJ, but he did not recognise LSS when he met her at first as Bai ZiQian. It is however heavily implied by LSS that there is no way TTJ can fall in love with someone at first sight. There are traces he remembered his past as soon as him helping LSS in her wine shop, and later on when he gave her the 500 silver as bride price. He "changed his clothes to all white, and left without telling LSS where he is going"; then when LSS drew a talisman "he expected flowers to bloom, living things to come out of the charm". And then on their wedding LSS exposes him remembering everything, and he admits it.

He needed to open the All-in-Distress way to make sure the DG will not resurrect ever. And only if a real God exists can his plan be successul. Let me break it down a little for you so you can understand why he did what he did.
The evil bone can only be destroyed by a real God.
The All-in-Distress way is connected to the evil bone and the ADG plus TTJ as a DG. He lives and dies with the All-in-Distress way.
So in order to make sure the ADG will not be ressurected he needed to release the All-in-Distress way as dying while its released is the only weakness of the ADG and the DG as a whole. Destroying the evil bone only without opening the All-in-Distress way will let the ADG find another vessel and a new DG will arise. The formation will also stay and can be opened by the new DG.
The reason he waited for the wedding was because only then can he be sure LSS hates him to the bone and can break through the Heartless way and become a Goddess, the immortals will use the celestial punishment and he can be free from the DG fate.
It was all a fool proof plan that was successful as when LSS as a Goddess hit him, she almost broke the evil bones. Note if the evil bones are destroyed he dies instantly. The All-in-Distress way could be destroyed on its own in thus situation as well, but TTJ decided to use the bit time he had left to finish his mission and by sacrificing himself to bring everyone that died prior to this back to life.

I have seen it. It is interview with BaiLu and LYX where they talk in depth about their characters and motives of actions. There was a short voice over at the end of the hypothesis TTJ gets ressurected and meets LSS.
It basically explained why the drama ended as it ended, LYX provided TTJs motives for doing what he did in depth, saying TTJ knew he would end up like that, and he created his Bo re life at the Ye Mansion because for him this was the start of loving YXW and where he felt the most happy. He also said TTJ sacrificed for both the world and LSS. And that YXW taught him everything.

A hard occurence, cuz there are people that rate the drama as a 1/10 and many new accounts that have rated it as 1, probably antis. Id be glad if it manages to stay at the current 8.8 and does not drop more lol

It is a good ending as it wraps the story properly. I wouldnt go as far as deeming it half baked, as that would mean they failed in wrapping the main plot of DG vs Gods. Also for me TTJ being free of pain is all i wanted from the drama version.

It is, but at the same time it is heart warming when he agrees to marry her, their 5th wedding that is a success. I love how they are not burdened by their identities anymore after TTJ sacrifices as the DG. It makeas it all the more worrh it in the novel because of the ending. 🥺🥺🥺

Its a 40 mins long interview plus bts of many scenes. At the end therw is the convo between TTJ and LSS talking aboht Zi Mi and living their life, an audio of a out 3 4 mins if not less 🤣🤣🤣

I guess some people cannot accept the fact that this show from the start was doomed to have a sad ending. I wouldnt even mark it as sad as TTJ accepted his fate and was even content with what he did. It is how XianXia works - world on top, redemption follows, and worldly desires are last.
For me the ending is considered bitter sweet as he suffered enough because of the evil bones and he knew as long as they existed the DG will come back. That smile at the end is all i wanted to see to have peace and accept the ending. Yes, it is sad they did not end up together, but hey TTJ is finally free from suffering.
