It will be the major push to do it. Right now she is confused and torn between the world on her shoulders and her love towards TTJ. The way XL will end up is what will make her determined to finish her mission.

To be honest, her character was somewhat more bareable in the novel. Yes she did all kinds of stuff, but because of how the Ye family treated her and cuz she was insecure. In the drama tho they did full 180. They showcased her true depths when it comes to her desires and manipulations.
Well, at the very beginning maybe yes. But XL couldve caught real feelings we cannot deny that. Based on his expression when he came to know YBC was behind all this, it seems he did fall in love.

That is true to an extent, and YBC knows it. So her "love" towards XL was just a pretence from the very beginning. If you go back and rewatch their scenes it becomes pretty obvious she never trully liked him
