Idol drama to the core
Visually unique with the Demon Market and lavish Tang dynasty on stylish of the ladies but the styles of the men are a bit tacky. The story could hv been dark and mysterious but it turns out childish. Except for TXW and XK, the support roles performance are like school play to me. Mei Zhuyu has too little screen time compared to Wu Zhen and the supporting roles. I know Xu kai is under hot issue right now but it was ridiculous. He's a good actor and that is more important than his personal life. Overall this drama is not great bcs i kept slapping my forehead half of the time. Thrilling and Suspense
I love the plot of this drama. Each episodes are nerve-wrecking and you cannot guessed what will happen next. This is my first drama of Xiao Zhan and he deserved all the hype. I like when the character is smart but with reasonable explanations. Other drama potrays smart FL and ML by just by the script in their head but zanghai is different, his action is what makes him smart. Overhype to the core
I left kdrama world for so long and decided to give this a try bcs everyone been raving about it but really it is a boring movie. Plot was basic, but the cast line up was even more disappointing. Nobody had a charming persona or good looking. I think the korean entertainment industry will loose a lot to china in this generation. I only like the accent they used.Was this review helpful to you?
Disappointed with the author
I didnt watch this drama and never will. I never thought I would feel this level of disappointment because the novel has always stood as my favorite of all time, layered, timeless, and written with such care that every detail mattered. To see it reduced into a rushed, cheap short drama felt like a betrayal to the masterpiece it once was. Jiong Jiong You Yao what are you thinking? Ning Xi and Lu Ting Xiao are so out of this world that no actor or actress could ever be them. They should never be adapted. Im so angry that a masterpiece i thought it is only come out as a low budget drama.Was this review helpful to you?
