Alt Gameboys (Episode 13.5) directed by Perci Intalan was an excellent special episode. I loved the dark treatment…
Wow. What a nice set-up for the characters and extension of the GB universe! I liked that Achilles as a fem character is not played off for laughs or background, but is a main player.
Check this page, it’s one of the two companies that produces this series. They are unapologetic racist and have…
I have to say the Thai entertainment industry as a whole is racist. It is a sore point with many Thais. When have you seen strong dark-skinned characters? Very, very, very few. Dark toned characters are always either baddies or played off for laughs. In Bang Rak Soi 9/1 there is a scene where a black character is brought into the home. You can imagine how that went. It's really only recently we see some strong black characters. Three Will Be Free had Jennie play a very strong and serious character and Y R You had James in the role of some authority. I don't only blame the Thai's. This is a worldwide issue, with a perpetual beauty standard of clear-skinned people. I haven't seen the character yet, so I will reserve judgement of the series till then.
it was an international cake competition and he got the first runner up position, wouldn't that be a huge accomplishment…
Exactly! Their relationship could have been really developed in the trials to make the cake. Starting with a team effort with more cute shots of Ace and Sky. I was confused about the bullies. Where did that nightmare come from? If Sky told Ace there were bothering him or something like that then that scene would have been better. The competition could have been at least one whole episode, but, I suppose the budget wouldn't have allowed that. We could have see something like Cake Boss to develop the passion and experience of actually making the cake. Wasted a real good concept :(.
I love this show for its cultural portrayal of Thais. I wish we could get eng translations of the new seasons. The youtube episode where Jatjen proposed to Pang is so amazing. If only that was translated too . . .
I was impressed with Ep. 6. I'll admit, I was feeling like this was similar to a mediocre Thai BL, with all the…
The Ace and Kim scene was well done. It shows how to be honest, but still have some compassion for the other person. For that, the production gets some points. Ace could have been blunt and tell her he doesn't care, but didn't do that.
Do y'all realize that in 13 short episodes running from 24 to 40 minutes long, this drama dealt with?:Coming out…
That's because there was no fake drama for drama's sake. All the issues we can relate to real jealousy, quarantine, loneliness, feelings of abandonment. The only very, very small issue I have is Cai's GF could have been developed a little more. I did love how he said he forgave her, but can't forget what she did.
Can't wait for S2 and Pearl Next Door!

Or overdose on homemade Lambanóg and still have a script deadline!
