I might get shot with my comment for PND EP1, so I will begin with the awesome things I had observed. 1.) Acting…
It's still reality, sadly. That's what's making the Pinoy stories work too. For the most part, the Thais seem to not want to cover the pandemic but the Pinoys have made it their own! GB is epic, but the others are not bad also. Quaranthings is really, really good, and Like in the Movies is turning out to be a masterpiece too. Gameboys will be forever a commentary on how the pandemic affected families. Cai's experience of his father's death at a sensitive turning point in his life, again due to the virus, and what his mother and brother experienced will always be a powerful commentary. Ginoo. Payawal, and I can only refer to him as Mr. from now on, will live on for this amazing piece too! I hope Keavy Eunice Vicente (PND) is as prolific a writer as Ash M. Malanum (GB).
Although I rated Fluid (8.5) and Chasing Sunsets (8.0) high, I didn't really feel that connected to any of the…
The magic of having epic writers! They can make you relate to characters a mile away. In many dramas, and the Thais are very guilty of this, characters just seem to melt to generic terms after falling for each other. GB managed to keep Cai and Gav as two distinct personalities right to the end. PS I'm still reeling from their argument scene. Nothing can top that for terms of believability and impact.
It was so real when she said the person has to also have good looks because you are going to wake up to them every day. So true! These dramas will have you believe that is not the case, but use gorgeous actors! Pearl keeps it real in more ways than one!
Pearl's playlist is Hahalin Na Ko Please - Love me Please - kinda the same songs as Gav's when he was listening to Ben and Ben (epic band BTW). No wonder Pearl and Gave are friends. :D
Condo/Barista/Architect had handled the GL topic nicely, but PND is, so far at ep.1, promising to be even better.
Okay, Okay... Wow! What melodrama we had in this ep.! LOL But, it's still all good. Yes, this series is still…
What's done well is done exceptional and what's bad is horrible. No other drama has such goods, bads, highs, lows all either portrayed epicly or as bad as it can get!
does it necessary to watch Gameboys first before starting this series?
It's somewhat a standalone in the expanded Gameboy's universe, but there were some faint callbacks to GB s.1. Watching that first will help you to understand the character of Pearl a little more.
Wow. I almost didn't start watching this thinking it would be a trainwreck. Kyo is doing such an amazing job as Judah. The raw emotion from this damaged individual is permeating. The absentee parent is something that many young people face in the developing world and I'm happy to see the effect of it being shown here. I'm also happy that Judah is flawed in more ways than one by dismissing Rocky saying he may be bi. This shows a partial bias on Judah's part and is quite an addition to a BL story. Royce also really captures those torn emotions. He has made the Rocky character his. That jealousy was so well portrayed. Trying to get Judah's attention was so, for want of a better word, cute. The chat with his father was so simple, yet so palpable. There is a feeling he had more to say. I'm so glad that Lolly finally accepted her grandson for what he is. That backstory was painful to hear both for Lolly and her husband. Shows what years of conditioning could do to a human psyche. It further gave a good motivation for what she wanted to do and not just make her look like some zealot. Speaking of Lolly, Gina's Pareño's (Judah's grandmom) performance is great and equal to Sue Prado's (Cairo's mom) in Gameboys. The emotion, the feels... I must say eight episodes are way short, but, up to this mark, we have got some of the best character development ever seen. Nothing has been wasted. We know the characters' backgrounds, motivations, wants, and needs. This is a real, true, genuine coming of age story done perfectly correct! These Pinoys are really slaying the BL drama genre for the end of 2020! Elijah is an epic actor, but Kyo ties him for this performance!
Ep.4 really caught Vlad's loneliness. Love how it was portrayed. One of the best in any drama. The OST was so perfect too. The chemistry is quite good between the leads. These Pinoys have really stepped up the game in drama!
Wow. Could it get any darker? Suicide/ death? Here's hoping that Korn can't die and it's some trick with Time. Great acting all round too. Anyone else thinks Khun Darin just looks bad a@@ed with her squad? The villain of the year?

Like they didn't see the other episode? :D
Moria deserves some jail time . . .
Had to watch that again!

Kinda like can you name the dramas? :D
Ep.2:
Every time you do a tie-in I have to close my eyes.
Talk to the camera then!
Who are we talking to?
LMAO!
