Nice coming out story! Acting on point! If only they had spent some more time on Barry's psychology, but the main story of Mando's discovery of himself was quite good!
So Folk, Pure, and Win live in the same apartment as TharnType? And Win's parents live in Tin's family house (LBC),…
I thought the same thing too! Talk about world/ universe building! Lol The house in Part Time has been in several other series, and Thun's car in He's Coming to Me has appeared in several other GMM productions with the same number plate.
Wow! This is now 3 for 3 in 2020! Go the Philippines! Gameboys, Gaya sa Pelikula, and now Oh Mando! Really at the top along with I Told Sunset About You!
If Grace no longer has her power can she change the past in the future because that's her power: to talk to her past self? Will the past repeat to create a future where she needs to talk to her past self to undo the past again to change the future? As Captain Janeway said, "Temporal mechanics give me a headache!" Anyway, could this also be the reason for the TinCan time shift in Love by Chance 2?
The absolutely best coming of age story yet! The earnest, honest portrayals! The bra scene wasn't cringy at all, and I thought it would be. Just a confused teen. Amazing work by these Nong actors!
Imma be honest, I wish BL stans would start having standards or at least the same as K-drama watchers pretend…
GMMTV is wholly corporate. We can see this in how they milk the actors for all they are worth. From promotion (which the Thais are amazing at), to live performances, to endorsements. They are riding the wave of the BL, giving the generic fan what they want: handsome boys finding themselves in relationships. Sorry, not sorry, but this just creates the generic BL story which is becoming, IMHO, like Indian movies: generic and quick turnover. Nadao Bangkok is still a subsidiary of GMM, but not as collar starched corporate. This little independence has resulted in the amazing production I Told Sunset About You. NB also has other good works. This lack of corporatizing, so far, has allowed the Philippines to produce some amazing works like Gameboys, Gaya Sa Pelikula, Hello Stranger, Ben X Jim, and other great series set to premiere. These production houses can actually focus on story and character, instead of pandering to the mass BL loving demographic. Just look at the reactions to the end of Gaya Sa Pelikula! So many BL fans hated it!
Given the time frame, the situation, the ending makes perfect sense. Maybe they just don’t understand what Karl…
It was the perfect ending. Karl admitted to himself, albeit to Uncle Santi who is his sounding board, about his sexuality. Uncle Santi explaining that he always gets hurt, but chooses to love. That conversation between Anna and Karl was epic. It is beautiful to see that Vlad has accepted that Karl needs his own time to be "inside."
I haven't really watched this but dropping by here because I was curious after seeing a recent review I saw on…
You need to be your own judge. It's a very direct story and could be any random person's real life tale. It's got relatable characters in relatable situations. There is no real drama toxicity; just people in situations which may have been handled differently in the past and present. Even if the BL element was not there it still is about stories that could be true anytime. The characters are very, very, very well written. Both Vlad and Karl have depth and width to their personalities, their own demons and redemption. If you don't like true to life stories you may not enjoy this one. If you want the "commess" (Trinidadian term for drama) that is a soap, then this may not be for you. If you are moved by real life situations, and getting into the psyche of the characters, then this is definitely for you!
So this really put the Thais back in the top 5 BL's for 2020. Well done Nadao Bangkok! Acting is superb, even for the child actors. Chemistry is on point. Direction and camera placement are great. Definitely Like in the Movies is 1st, with Gameboys an extremely close 2nd. After watching ep.1 of both this and Oh! Mando they are vying for 3rd and 4th place. Hello Stranger and Ben X Jim tie for 5th so far. YYY is definitely 6, for all its comedy was well placed and worked in the context of a vivid imagination, but stayed true to its main theme. Quaranthings is a solid 7. I really wanted My Gear and Your Gown to be top 5, but maybe top 10? Oxygen is not really hitting all the marks the series could be. Neither is Love by Chance 2, which seems to have some Star Trek level time dilation issues. Tonhon Chonlatee has a good start so maybe top 10 also. A Tale of a Thousand Stars seems to be somewhere over the rainbow? My Bromance 2 is December. After all that time for editing it should be approaching perfection.
So Nate is still alive. Supot powered her to call him if anyone found her. Wave infected himself, to warn Pang. Grace's future self can take over her young self and, most unbelievably, drive a manual car! Will this be the twist of ep.12: Pang was working for the Prime Minister to take down Supot and the Ministry? :D Loved Ohm taking charge and Punn revealing they need to fight in a different way. With all the twists I loved that the most! Punn really looked like he had turned.
I loved the cameo of Cai and Gav, however, it did feel like a piece of fan service and did very little for the story. I loved Cai saying that Pearl's story is different and still being written, but after that their reuniting served no real purpose. Usually, situations are eased into. One character would comment vocally on a social media post then it would go from there. This time Cai and Gav just appeared out of nowhere. It was just out of the blue and sort of uncharacteristic for the GB Universe. Maybe Elijah and Kokoy were only available for a very short time?
What I loved about the scene is that Cai and Gav are not forgotten; it shows that Pearl's situation is taking place in the time Cai's mom gave to him before he moves to Bukidnon; and gives permanence to the Gameboy's Universe.

Couldn't they make up a name?

“Just call my name. Please call my name.”
"Let’s go Vlad."
"Karl tell me a story."
Then we see the fairytale, perfect ending.
"You're funny universe!" with what was going on in the background!
Vlad being drunk and coming "home."
The couch scene really got to me. Then in walks Vlad! Could we have asked for a better couch scene???
Wow. Simply wow. Severo, wow.

Paolo did a magnificent job in the portrayal.
