Ep.43 raised some great family issues that families, no matter where, face. The grandfather is feeling left out of the family unit. He wants his independence, being away from the family, but still wants to be close to them.
Such an amazing family dynamic portrayed perfectly by a "comedy"!
It also showed so much of Thai and specifically Buddhist society.
Strength to strength in every episode!
Side note: Earth didn't like Jang in his business, but he still want's to know what's bothering Jang. :)
Kim Ji Hoon does justice to the role put down by both younger Jang Min Jaes. Those two kids were serious...
Ahn Kil Kang needs to win an award for this one. From serious, to playful, to happy to regretful, to sad he had all the emotions and actually had the audience feeling it! Great actor!
This drama has everything! Love rhombus, demanding parents, money, rich vs poor, justice, injustice, law, dead people not dead, chaebols, multi-million dollar empire, Japanese, Chinese, gold, government, IMF, victims, police, surveillance, action, brother sister relationship, playboy, parenting, rich boy, rich girl, inheritance, cousins, spouse cheating, outside children, parent's death, funerals, broken limbs, period correct vehicles, thief, secret identity, truck causing death, karaoke, soju, hero, heroine, big brother, step brother, orphanage, food, history, independence, war, fight, antiques, hospital, suicide, kidnapping, people spying from cars, people being spied upon walking past those cars and, of course, the Han River.
21 episodes in and the only thing I'm waiting to show up is a Deity or some sort of God :)
Epic drama series though!
Questions though: 1. How come Dol Mok didn't recognise Min Jae at Hwa Young's house (Ep. 7)? He is now…
Worse in Ep. 14 Pan Soo bumps into Joon Hee and can't recognise him as Min Jea??? This universe is the same one as Clark Kent/ Superman Glasses/ No Glasses???
:D
Original meaning Bang Rak Soi 9. The original.
Any hard sub version? :)
Now if only someone could sub the original :)
