I recently found this in my incomplete list ( dramas that I’m started and will come back to later) and I couldn’t figure out why I started a drama with such a high rating on MDL but seemingly only watched 2 episodes. Boy was I quickly reminded! like how many angry, evel scheming people does one dram need? I had a bit of hope since the fl has a backbone but her stepsister, what is her problem? just venom out her mouth every time she speaks and she doesn’t just reserve her bitchy attitude for her step sister. My flabbers were genuinely gasted when she pushed her way into Gu’s office TWICE! like what kind of ceo has such a lack of office security that one radon idiot can barge in at will? I’m dropping this drama again after rewatching the first two episodes but this time I’ll put it in not interested/dropped cause I’m never picking this up again. Toxic mess of characters right from the beginning, not a redeeming quality in sight. I’m glad I saw your review cause based on some of the other ones I was reading I was like am I overreacting and not giving the drama chance? How are so many viewers finding treasure here and watching this is giving me indigestion? This level of toxic is above what I can handle, that’s all.
wasted time on the first season cause I saw so many good reviews and recommendations 😭. I’ll skip the second season, seems like there is no redeeming this one
really wish I read your comment before watching. this was tagged as bl on a site I use imagine my surprise when I watched no romance unfold just the toxic interactions and trauma you describe. at least his dad accepts him now I guess.
I’m 18 episodes in and I was reading some reviews to decide whether I should continue. I agree with you on the investment in sitting through each episode adding to a greater understanding of the characters perspective and why they do the things they do. I find it’s not a simple overdone drama trope with the waiting for the first love to return. While so far I don’t know the reason for the breakup, I feel I can understand their behaviour even when they do some frustrating things. This only extends to the leads so far because some of the supporting roles really seem like they need something else to focus on, to stop melding so much.
With all that said, for now I’ll continue even though I’m really not looking forward to them separating again or the wedding with the supporting female☹️
I saw some clips of their alleged romance and I was thrown off by the fl. I know they like to play up youth and fl who act like infants but this was a bit much for my tastes. Thanks for confirming with your review. I’ll definitely skip
