I am at episode 23 holding on for dear life because I am so sick of the drama and lies and the mains not being together this far in, simply ridiculous. now that I know they are just going to continue with the longing etc. I’m definitely dropping it. cause also how many times are the mains going to have a closure conversation and pretend to let go of each other ? it was cute for a few episodes but I’m tired now

sounds skippable 🫣 thanks for the review. I tried the first episode and I was not impressed but this type of revenge drama is really not for me especially when the person being deceived had all kinds of clues, red flags and gut feelings but for one reason or another continued to ignore them.
You might like this if you like a foolish fl who acts like she has the thinking capacity of 5 year old. I have only watched 20 minutes of the first episode which is over 1 hour long but that was about as much of her as I could stomach. The following might be a bit of a spoiler not sure, I doubt it’s super relevant to the main plot but it’s just the illustrate the behaviour I’m talking about.
This fl who attacked by a mob and went to pick up puzzle pieces when they got distracted instead of running for her life.
Just another story of a fl desperate to suffer. Any chance she gets to make her life more difficult she will jump at it. This kind of thing is a bit hard to watch. Ofc she is a nurse who bathes a pervy old man and takes off her gloves while doing so, cause he prefers it that way. ofc her brother is a gambler and she enables him by paying the debt. Ofc she is hired as a crab peeler and must sit and feed some random stranger as he berates her. Girl bye.
Actually what is even more remarkable is that she treasures this gift her brother gave her all those years ago before they were separated, but then ( and you’ll love this part) when she finally she’s him again, she doesn’t want to talk to him. just so wee are all clear, the brother who was also a child when they moved away, the brother who did nothing but love you and never chose to leave you. That brother is the one you don’t want to talk to. But the gambling brother, well let’s race to his side and pay his debts. Because well blood is thicker than water or whatever I guess.
I think the only more stupid than this fl’s attitude and genuine addiction to trauma is me spending 45 minutes on the journey.
I am 27 minutes in but I think I will drop it. while the story seems intriguing the fl is just too much. I can’t relate to her motives right from the beginning so it’s hard to be engaged in the story. why is she in this situation? why are you alone with this clearly violent man? where is your fiance? why has she not turned to him during any of this difficulty? why would you climb down the mountain to help this murderer? why not run ? you had more than one chance to call for help. I don’t really understand why her fight or flight doesn’t seem to activate at any point. If you don’t mind those things I’m sure this movie will be enjoyable. The actors seem really skilled and the plot otherwise seems intriguing.
Had I not been such a sucker for the leads' visuals & chemistry I might have dropped as well. So good choice.
