From the beginning they have announced that there will be two seasons that they planned to release of tale of nine tailed. So this was just a setup for season 3 as to keep people interested and waiting for next season.

This show was not about the law stuff more about the ml's friends and how he deals with his unexpected situation. Because it is a revenge story in the end not a lawyer drama.

"Start up" is a drama I watched in the initial phase of my watching kdrama and hadn't watched any drama of Nam joo hyuk and just couldn't accept him as the main lead and dropped it and I am yet to pick it up.

Its not a masterpiece by all means , just a slice of life show. The name is misleading it just a show about 3 friends enjoying their day to day life with a revenge story in the background.

The main reason it seems boring to you is because there are no stakes. In season 1 the cat and mouse game between prosecution and them made it interesting. This season was just made because of fan demand and that it is doing wonderfully at that. If you loved the characters in season 1 and want to watch more of what they are upto kinda scenario.
