It is so sad Ha Young is not in the series, she was 'gangster' . Netflix should have supported her. This constant…
The worst and most cruel aspect of Kdrama fandom is internalised misogyny!

There are clear double standards in who gets hounded (women with personal scandals), and who gets defended ("oppas" who abuse their power in various ways to exploit others 🙄).

Funny that this article used the phrase "unwinnable fights". Because if you are a woman in the entertainment industry, a slight personal scandal happens (like the public revelation of a private tiff you had with your boyfriend, or worse, of something horrible your great grandpa did 😱), and it becomes pretty much an "unwinnable fight" to control the media narrative that paints you as a monster

On the other hand, you just need to have a little thing called "male privilege", and even after doing anything and everything (emotional, sexual, or financial exploitation, etc), you can make a comeback.

You just need to have money and media in your pocket, and yes, most importantly, that male privilege thingy, and every fight is "winnable".

"Ha Young's decision to voluntarily withdraw from the upcoming seasons"....
Let's not pretend it was voluntary. Her career has been deliberately derailed. What's more, she has been forced to hide the support she is receiving from international fans! She has locked her Insta profile.

Meanwhile certain someone is flaunting their self appointed "social media attorneys", who are working overtime to prove their "innocence". Here on this site, users who criticised this "Celebrity A" for their contribution in the demise of a former child actress, please beware! The "social media attorneys" of "Celebrity A" are rummaging through posts over a year old, to look for the comments you made then (more than a year ago), then misquoting you to prove you were "wrong" and poor "Celebrity A" has been treated badly by you (talk about internet stalking).

That's K-fandom for you!

Thank you. Have a nice day!

shame on anyone keeping this man above water.disgusting
Trigger warning: Childhood Abuse Trauma
I don't know how you all will take it. I am one of you all opposing this man's comeback. I have an almost personal stake in this matter as someone who has suffered childhood sexual abuse. But I also have something I feel guilty for. As a young college student in an acting improv class, I was once tricked into falling for an actor's fake tearful "guilty" confession of their se*ual assault crime. I blurted "I don't judge you". I do not know how could I have said that as someone who had suffered abuse as a minor. Someone suggested it might have been a fawning response triggered by my lingering emotional trauma. I still cannot forgive myself, though.

However, that was clearly just an act by an actor. We have had a privileged, protected, grown ass man who had the guts to pull off the same "act" after committing a similar act in REAL LIFE (and worse). This time I do judge him! I see each of his "victories" as a little defeat for the little me, and for the little Kim Sae Ron. At least, I got to grow up and outgrow that regrettable episode of my life (though not completely, just enough for it to be bearable. Note that any abuse you suffer as a minor will carry permanent emotional trauma). Sae Ron did not even get that! I cannot even imagine the amount of trauma that girl suffered.

The day this person (KSH) manages to get any releases on any platform, will be a very sorrowful day indeed for me and countless girls who have suffered some form of abuse in their minority.

PS: If possible, try to be kind! 🙏
