While I completely agree with your take on the gender dynamics, I think you are misattributing all the criticism…
Exactly! I’ve never understood the constant hate IU and BWS have received since this project was first announced. Chemistry is subjective, sure, but calling theirs 'zero chemistry' makes no sense at all. Honestly, their incredible chemistry and stellar performances were the biggest selling points of the entire show! They gave it their all. That being said, I genuinely hope this isn't the last time we see them together. I need them to reunite in a deeply angsty, heavy melodrama in the future where they can truly show off their emotional range.
Whether you enjoy Perfect Crown or pick it to pieces to clearly prove that the scriptwriter lacks imagination…
While I completely agree with your take on the gender dynamics, I think you are misattributing all the criticism to sexism.I actually loved the modern masculinity in Perfect Crown. Seeing the female characters confidently take charge while the men happily embraced nurturing, supportive roles was incredibly refreshing. The second half of the finale was wonderful for that exact reason, and I have absolutely no complaints about the acting or the chemistry. However, loving the show's progressive themes shouldn't blind us to its objective storytelling flaws. A drama can have a beautiful, groundbreaking message and still suffer from a messy, disorganized script. My frustration didn't stem from seeing 'soft' men, it stemmed from an incoherent plot filled with gaping loopholes and unresolved loose ends.We don't need a show to be groundbreaking to enjoy it, but we do need the story to respect its own internal logic. Dismissing all structural criticism as 'bias' or 'lazy viewing' ignores the valid disappointment of fans who loved the characters but felt let down by the execution. A show can be deeply progressive and structurally flawed at the same time and pointing out the latter isn't trolling, it's just honest critique.
So true, i felt so many things were omitted just to keep it 12episodes.
Or they could have had a simple plot for 12 episodes that didn't involve too much of conspiracies or how they both strategise to overcome it because so far their only go to solution is moral idiocy aka we should seperate to stop this from happening.
I finally figured out what I dislike about this drama: it’s back to back crises with no action taken to prevent them or solve the mystery behind them. So far, it hasn't been clearly exposed who tampered with her brakes or who tried to poison Ian. Now we have another question: Who leaked the contract? It’s conspiracy after conspiracy, but with no actual action taken to solve them. I believe this is due to the 12-episode format. there’s no space to flesh out subplots properly, and the romance feels fleeting at this point. They get 3–4 minutes of bliss until everything blows up. For a 12 episode format, they should have planned the pacing better instead of trying to throw everything into the mix.
Ian has already confessed and even asked Huiju to not feel burdened by his feelings meanwhile this PM is not honest with her but only trying to manipulate her 😒
This relationship feels way way more mature and grounded. And Lovely Runner honestly went to crap in the second…
Exactly what I feel. LR lost it's plot after first 8 episodes and there was no build up on their actual relationship. It was all about her saving him in every timeline. Here the relationship is mature and relatable. Yes, his acting has really improved here and not to forget his dangerously lethal visuals. He really looks like someone out of manhwa.
Thank you #TeamPerfectCrown and #Wanseong for keeping me swooned for the past 6 weeks 🫠❤️

Huiju ya kissing her husband in sleep, my heart wasn't ready for this 🙈❤️
