I think the writer is showing us HJ which is totally justifying the character and its completely inline of HJ…

That we already saw in Ep 11 & 12 how she is immature when she is in love. That's why it goes with her character. We have to see how she is going to react when she is fully aware of the situation that's the testing and maturing oneself imho.

I think the writer is showing us HJ which is totally justifying the character and its completely inline of HJ how she should react in a given situation. You can't change a person's character overnight. And earlier she clearly told DS that she is not a patient person but she wait for him.
