another great drama that suffers form the "breakup -> disappearing for months -> suddenly returning and acting like nothing happened" ending, it would have been better off without that
if you like "realism" in dramas then good for you. i don't! even though i read the spoilers before watching, the last ep felt like someone stabbing me then rubbing salt in my wound for 1,5 hour straight
The last two episodes ruined the drama for me. He ignored her for 3 years and then magically appears and she's supposed to forgive him for not contacting her bc he didn't "want her to worry". One of the most annoying kdrama tropes imo.
not all dramas need to be unique and have innovative plots, sometimes they're simple but really entertaining. if you don't expect too much, you'll enjoy this drama
Rowoon is a good actor but I don't get a sense of realism required for the era... It's not entirely his fault…
I liked his character at the beginning, when he worked at the pharmacy and there was this rebellious but kind air to him. He really had potential but now I feel like instead of developing his character they gave up on every trait that doesn't revolve around the crown prince so now we're left with... this and it's disappointing.
So if someone believes he is a dog or a horse... he must be a dog or a horse... And if he believes in his previous…
In fact i did some research and read a few papers that had words "conditions of homosexuality" in them and none used it in positive light, one of them talked about how homophobic states used stereotypes to imprison people they thought were gay. Another one talked about how they use "conditions of homosexuality" (that are just western stereotypes) to dismiss refugees. And the others talked about conditions of living of lgbt people. so if no actual expert uses the words you used in the context you claim they're used in then that means you should read a book and not me. also "emotional"? according to psychologists emotions are subjective, so you shouldn't have mentioned them when you talk about things that aren't related to opinions. :) with this said i won't reply anymore because this discussion is pointless.
Wow, the comment section getting hot. After watching ep 5, with much consideration, likely I'll dropped this soon.…
I agree... I think they're trying to make historical dramas "too modern" (adding unnecessary comedy, skimming over more complex topics) and they're losing their charm bc of that. From older dramas i really liked Jewel in the palace and Empress ki. And a more recent drama i recommend is My country.
So if someone believes he is a dog or a horse... he must be a dog or a horse... And if he believes in his previous…
you're nitpicking at this point, you wrote a whole paragraph complaining about one word, even after they specified what they meant when they used it. but honestly if you really cared about using words properly you wouldn't write something as ridiculous as "conditions of homosexuality".
So if someone believes he is a dog or a horse... he must be a dog or a horse... And if he believes in his previous…
i said you're arguing about semantics and ignoring the rest of what op said. you keep repeating "do you think sexuality is an opinion" and think you did something. sexuality is a personal thing, it's who you personally identify as. you didn't answer my question either: is there a gay council that needs to approve someone is gay if what that person thinks isn't enough according to you? how can you prove someone's sexuality is a "fact"? sexuality is fluid. it doesn't change for most people but for some it does and that doesn't invalidate their previous feelings and experiences

im genuinely curious how do you think sexuality works? if it's not about who the person believes they are then what? is there a special counsil that decides if we're gay enough to call ourselves gay? your sexuality isn't a scientific fact, it's literally just you choosing what label fits you the best based on what you're feeling on the inside. i think you're trying to argue about semantics and while i agree "believe" isn't the best word we can use here, it also means "accepting something as true" which kind of fits.
if your first reaction to a gay person disagreeing with you is to insult them and accuse them of lying about their sexuality, then i feel sorry for you.
i said "we" because I AM GAY. i was offended by your comment so i said just that. it's true you didn't create the stereotypes but why are you so fixated on using them when people from the community ask you not to. being respectful isn't that hard
gay people have expresses countless times how harmful and hurtful comments like yours are and how much we hate when others say "looking gay" is a thing. if you refuse to listen and think us being hurt is "laughable" then i belive this conversation is pointless.
