i was so excited for a new woo do hwan historical drama and the trailer looks like a standard trashy comedy sageuk... i really hope i'll be proved wrong
i can't comment on that since i haven't read the webtoon. i only saw the drama which felt very rushed to me and i wish it was longer to give more development to some parts of the story
honestly this should have been a longer drama, they tried to include too many things in just 6 eps and didn't have time to properly develop any of them
I’d say take it bit by bit, I’m a person who watches several episodes at a time too. Almost dropped it due…
i watched three eps, took a three month break, watched three eps, took a break -over and over again and it took me so long to finish but i finally did it recently and until the end my opinion didn't change, it just wasn't a drama for me. and that's okay, a lot of people enjoyed it, i didn't -it happens ^^"
i see a lot of people ask what the motive was but i think there's rarely a solid motive (or one a normal person can understand) in cases like this. some people just are sadistic and sick. he wanted to kidnap, hurt and kill little girls and that's all, there was no hard thinking from his side. he just felt like it so thats what he did. it's sad reality.
am i the only one still enjoying this drama? i don't think it got boring or draggy, this is one of very few dramas where i really like the pacing, it's steady and doesn't slow down too much. and the last two eps gave us a lot of information and answers, i'm excited for the finale
Not all caring and nice male leads are bland and boring BUT mostly when it's a female who is the main character…
we know more about kmw bc he sort of had "his" episode, before that ep he also "didn't have a personality". junho will get his ep too where we'll get to know him better, but i still disagree that what we got so far didn't have any depth
I miss the time where Male Leads had depth flaws and character development how do you expect a perfect person…
i don't think he's perfect. he's nice but he also didn't defend her in front of his uni colleague, he regretted it later and was trying to make it up to her. but then when his friend insulted her, he got angry and acted petty but still didn't say anything. those two moments show he isn't perfect and has flaws. and he will get more screen time in the future so we will see more sides of him.

junho, despite having little screen time, has done more than just being nice to yw imo. he got mad at his best friend and acted petty, got sad, worried, etc. even him being nice to yw isn't simple, bc he still hesitates to stand up for her in front of that girl in one of the first eps or his friend (and that has a potential to be more explored in next eps too). those were brief moments bc as we both said he didn't have "his" episode yet. but i think those moments show he isn't a bland character and that the writer is using them to slowly build up to sth. and to be fair the show is about yw so all the characters we see are through interactions with her mainly
everytime a male lead is caring and nice he gets called bland and boring but i never understood why. having character and depth doesn't necessarily require a bunch of negative traits that get thrown in the viewer's face. it's more about the little things they do and they reactions (and junho has been really expressive so far and contrary to what some say he doesn't smile all the time, plus he's still yet to get an ep where he's the main focus alongside youngwoo) do people miss the times when mls used to be rude and misogynistic or sth? i personally don't.
True. I feel bad for his mom. But she still have her ONE son she should take care.
exactly, when she threw away the meal she was making for his birthday bc "what's the point of this if she doesn't know whether gyeyoung is alive or dead" i felt so bad for him. his her child too
the most heartbreaking thing in this drama is how gyehoon's family has treated him after gyeyoung went missing. he was a child! why would you ask a child to look after another child? that's what adults are for. he was like two minutes older than her so if she wasn't old enough to take care of herself, he wasn't either. overall his parents failed both of their children and chose to blame the one that is still alive for that.
i wish the characters were more mature, they're supposed to be in their late 20s but the way they treat each other is too childish, it makes it unbearable to watch more that one ep at once... i thought it would get better but maybe this drama just isn't for me
