'Clean' is the keyword for this website. I like how it's easy to read, eye-catching, and incredibly well-organized. The site has transformed over the past two years and it has captured the attention of many viewers from across the world. Yes, I don't understand why Hana Yori Dango has been almost everyone's first drama. It definitely was mines.

Exactly. The modern music of today is ever-changing and most of the songs are re-makes from previous songs in the past. As I see it, my music taste has changed drastically as I age. My favourites turns to become dislikes. My dislikes becomes my new flavour. It's quite an interesting twist.

It is quite a refreshing formula. This is what I find as a major difference between American television shows and Asian dramas. Many American shows run season to season endlessly and half of them never completely end. Not only the show seasons are quite long, the shows itself changes drastically and new characters are being added along and it loses its flavour. This happens to be a setback for me to watch American television. Even, I still watch some shows here and there, however I am hesitant in watching shows that never end like Gossip Girl, Friends, Glee, Grey's Anatomy, etc. The Asian dramas are fairly short and the story is well put together, the endings are unexpected or expected, and the plot does not loses its way or completely changes.

What I found with Raw episodes is when watching the episode with subtitles I become bored and restless to watch the entire episode. With that being said, I avoid raw episodes. After watching plently of dramas, picking words here and there comes quite naturally. Yes, I agree with your point on how this interest is part of who you are and you should naturally embrace it. Everyone is quite different in the dramas that they watch and becomes quite fascinating to see how a specific interest (watching Asian dramas) can be broken down even further.

Since being on MDL, I learned to be more open and detail-oriented while watching a drama. From many MDLers, they view certain aspects within a drama that I never came across myself before. Now, I carefully watch the drama for its cast, acting, how it's directed, OSTs, the settings, etc. I found Hana Yori Dango on DramaCrazy, and used that site for seeking new dramas to watch. As I can remember, MDL started advertising on DramaCrazy and one day, I randomly clicked it. At that time, it was still brand new and the information on the website was quite limited. Regardless of that fact, I joined MDL in March 2012 and visited the site since 2011. I watched most of the "Most Popular" dramas on DramaCrazy. I did my own research for new dramas to undertake and eventually, I became more active on MDL since the last few months.

I normally listen to alternative rock, house, electronic, trance, punkrock, J-Rock, J-Pop, K-pop,K-Indie, little indie, little metal, classic rock, and blues. Sometimes the odd hip-hop, rap, pop song here and there. Mostly, I listen to a bit of everything. My music interests changes from time to time. It all depends on the mood and what I am feeling for.

I agree with your point with older characters and who's the writer and the actors within in the drama. Did you watch any raw episodes before the subtitles show up? Do you speak or write any Korean? Since last year, I've became more a serious dramawatcher. Hence, I've been starting to write lately for MDL and quite enjoy myself. MDL community is what I personally like about the website itself. I'll never be able to find many people within my hometown community who enjoys watching Asian dramas and love the Asian culture too. I'm quite satisfied with how I found this website and be able to meet people with similar interests. Without this site, I wouldn't able to become a serious drama watcher and drama socializer. lol :)

A reason why I follow the Drama Hub for highest member currently watched dramas is more so for why people are highly interested in the drama and make comparsions to what's popular and what's on the backburner. Since being on MDL for over a year, the site has progressed into a large community and the dramas being watched as a whole by others is quite fascinating to watch on a weekly basis on the HUB. How did you find MDL in the first place?

King2Hearts, I did enjoy this one. I loved how the plot was quite unique like you said. The actress from Secret Garden also intrigue me into watching the drama. I'm glad it did not end up similar to Goong. Since my Drop List is quite small, hence I don't take the risk to watch low rated dramas. I guess I'll have to be more openminded when watching a variety of dramas despite if they are low-rated. I stay my distance from family dramas except You're the Best, Lee Soon Shin. The reason being is that I enjoy underdog dramas with a laughable and good-looking cast. Plus having Jo Jung Suk is a bonus since King2Hearts was more on the serious note. I like it how he is more loosened up in this drama rather than a serious solider. How long is your challenge set for?

I've been meaning to watch Gentleman's dignity sometime now. My current drama list is almost halfway on the most part. I've been compiling a list of at least 3 dramas to watch for my 'Current List'. Ice World, hmmm. Let me put that in my 'Plan to watch' list. To the looks of it, it sounds amusing and a 'keeper' for me. Luckily, I have 1 week break in the summer between my accounting semester. I'll do another marathon to watch my 'Plan to Watch' list. As I age, I am leaning towards more sophiscated and well-written dramas and even those which have characters in their 20's, 30's and beyond. It's probably because I grew sick of watching dramas that are too naiive and childish. This may be the case. I don't know to be honest.

Gambling is not forte. In other words, when someone convinces me dead on, I will take the risk which may come with a surprise. During my breaks, I'll go in-depth in seeking dramas for my Plan-to-watch. On the other hand, I rather not have such a large list to watch. Fortunately, my list isn't quite large yet so I can concentrate on watching those once I complete my current dramas.

Exactly spot on for how to drop a drama. Your opinion matches mines. It's true that are quite predictable sometimes I only watch it for the eye candy or a specific actress. I haven't try Wild Romance however I checked it and it's a comedy/romance and a mixture of other genres. When it comes to comedy, I am quite picky and usually go for smart/witty humor instead of craziness, ridiculous, and "supposed to be funny, but it's unfunny". For ex. Level 7 Civil Servant, the parents were unreasonably ridiculous in the drama and I decided to skip over their parts due to this fact. You're the best, Lee Soon Shin, Last Cinderella, and Secret Garden is the humor that I go for. Mood and timely is key when watching a drama. There are some dramas that you can watch only when you're in that type of mood.

I see where your point lies. As for now, I have to build on my dramas completed list and gain more confidence. I only have watched dramas since 2011 so my list isn't as large as others. Once I run out of dramas in the "Highest Rated" list, I'll be on the lookout for some hidden gews as well. I like how you go by what's interesting. Lately, I tend to stay away from high school/rich man poor woman dramas except Itazura na Kiss. If you find a hidden jewel drama, let me know. Always seeking for something new.

That seems like a wise idea to take a break. If you have the funds and desire, you should travel. Plus, during the break, you focus on your hobbies, and volunteering and such. What are you going for in your Bachelor's?

Between 2007-2011, I studied at Western University with a specialization in Criminology and a minor in German. Since it was inpractical for me to seek a job unless I decided to apply for my Master's, or seek a TA position. Besides, that area lacked my interest. By then, I knew that I needed to study a practical area where I can find a job easily in. During 2011-2012,I studied Office Administration for one year in order to update my IT skills and enhance my business knowledge. After finishing the program, I applied and still finishing up my diploma in Business-Accounting at Fanshawe College.

On a daily basis, I check DramaCrazy to see if any new dramas/movies are airing. I normally check the drama/movie itself for its summary and ratings. If the ratings are 4.5/5, I place that drama into my Plan-to-watch list. In my opinion, I dislike wasting time on dramas that are reviewed/rated poorly. In addition, I usually look for Highest Rated dramas on MDL and choose ones that sound fascinating to me and place in my Plan to watch. Lastly, my friends recommend me dramas/movies and I'll take their advice since I like to be a fair friend.

For revengle plots, it's a mix of both. I like to have twist in the drama but also, I prefer having the criminal caught in the end and maybe a open cliffhanger similar to White Christmas or Confessions. Nothing too bloody or over-the-top complicated to a point where it does not sound believable. I'm not a fan of historical and fantasty-type of dramas. Having a little of fantasy like time-travel is alright but if it involves mystical creatures like werewolves, vampires, etc., I am absolutely not attracted too. Time is quite hard to come by these days especially if you're in your 20's. It moves too quickly and the realization of how at one point, it can move slow, and in another, it moves terribly fast. Luckily, having time is what differentiates people in their 20's compared to the older generations.
