I'm not sure what episode you're on but he was sent away into seclusion as a child due to "madness". He came back right before the wedding and she hadn't seen him since they were children.

I actually had this EXACT same question on if the baby could have been transferred over but I think what they are going off of is the idea that this is all taking place over several months and perhaps she slept with the General as the sister earlier than the 1 month pregnant would have allowed? 🤷‍♀️

As for Lv Shao going to wander the world, my question was honestly whether this was 100% accurate or if this is just what the world was told. The reason I even question it is because he had snuck out with her to go to the village and they had that hide away together. It was "possible" that this was their long-term solution since she wasn't going to stay in the palace under any circumstances. Because you're right that just leaving your kid makes ZERO sense, especially with how worried she was about it before the end of the show...

She isn't wearing an illusion though? She completely changed her face to the princesses. That's why he can't see through it. And I suppose let's say that he IS aware that there are people out there who can change their faces to become another person, it still wouldn't be common thought to think that anyone around you at any time could have been replaced so you must be on your guard.

Okay so it WAS clarified slightly more that the ML and FL had met at children and gre up together with that 3rd boy but ML got that "madness" and was sent into seclusion for 10 years. Which explains why she (and really no one else for that matter) doesn't recognize him.

I'm personally VERY confused about what SML relationship actually is since they (SML and FL) call themselves siblings but only "nominally". I was wondering if instead of "sibling" they meant "cousin" technically and that they would be cousins on mother's side not father's side? BUT that can't be the case either can it since both he and FL both call the Emperor 父皇 (Fù huáng) which is how a child of the Emperor refers to the Emperor... So either he was adopted by the Emperor or "maybe" they aren't considering each other "complete" siblings because they have different mothers? (shudder).

He was supposed to marry the FL who was the daughter of his Shifu. It "seemed" though that they hadn't actually ever met before the wedding when the flashbacks were first being introduced which would be why she doesn't recognize him, he only came back to the family for the wedding. (Which explains the flashbacks scene of the father introducing him to the other guy in the gazebo).

If you like the costume looks, scene styling cinematography etc., check out some of this directors other works... I always end up taking a billion screenshots of his dramas. I wish I were kidding... for Beloved of a Lifetime I actually gave up and just accepted that I'd have over 100ss per episode and just started compiling them into a sort of "read the show comic".

I'm watching so many right now but some I'll go a day or two or three and then binge... this one though I consistently watch each night.

While no one knows the actual ending yet you are right that the synopsis hints at a tragic end. It's possible it's a fake-out though because so far the synopsis has essentially covered the first half of the show already and there's another 12 eps to go.
As for the acting, while it's not award winning (it's a trashy body-swap palace script 😅) it isn't bad at all.
As for the rating... only 4 people have rated it so far so if the ratings so far are 8.5, 7.5, 6, 1 = 5.8 🤷‍♀️
There's obviously other configurations but that's the first one as an example.

My guess is that they originally were going to make it a ~30 minute show but decided to go sub-20 instead.

Guan Yue has another show that just started where he's the Male Lead listed as Fang Zhuang on here if you want to try out another of his works as an airing drama.

I LOVED this episode so much for all those reasons too 🤣
And you know, I actually personally was wondering about the personal conversations during streaming thing too so you're definitely not alone in wondering. 🤣

Yeah I've gotten annoyed with them over that too... If you're going to dual show a program don't make it so ONE platform gets express and the other doesn't. It seems like it's 50/50 these days with if they give the extra episode if they will also give the Express ending for a dual-Tenecent show 😮‍💨

It seems like it's one of those double named one's they can't choose until after airing. Same thing happened with Limerance/Love Trap and another one that I remember happening vividly but can't recall what the names were now.

United States - it showed up under Explore tab in app and clicking "latest" for me but it might be delayed if you're in a different region 🤷‍♀️

Started this and so far in the first 6 episodes it's such a fun little trashy show 😅.

This is yet ANOTHER show where Tencent and Iqiyi co-show the show but don't give ALL the rights. Iqiyi got the extra episode this time but is once again NOT getting the express. 🙄 Whatever.

I feel like this is the ultimate "turn your brain off show". There are basically two ways to look at these characters imo; one is that these characters and plots are SO over the top and exaggerated that there is zero way this could actually take place in "reality"... Or two, going even FURTHER that these characters are SO over the top that they could ACTUALLY be real people. 🤣. Either way though the cliches and cringe is HIGH with this one.
