Romance is going to take the back seat now . Tbh it was necessary to focus on couple bonding and character's equations in the first half of the show to bring the right amount of interest in the second half of the show which I believe will be more focussed on palace politics.

You are right !! Probably in end we would see her doing the same thing but as of now I think she lacks drive. I mean she is living a life of CP from past many years. She is going with the flow. She loves being dami and is tired of living someone's else life but that's not enough to give her the courage of leaving the palace. She needs more solid grounds for that or I would say that "urge" is missing. I believe jiwoon is going to play this role now. Her desire of living her life with the love of her life can only make her take this strong action.

She was forced to be the CP and I believe she doesn't know how to get rid of this all now. She has no one to guide so she is taking the route that her mother showed her. King has another son so it's not like there would be no heir . The only problem I can see is that she and all those who know the truth would be killed as soon as the truth comes out . I believe she also desires to live as dami and if her father had given her protection she would have left the palace long back .

Loved ep 9 and 10. I am so in love with jiwoon and hwi relationship dynamics. I am glad they toned down shin so eun at least for now. She is wise and beautiful. Can't believe she is the same person who threatened jiwoon's friends. May be that was a sign . She is good as long one doesn't become a trouble for her.

I am glad they are not showing ML as an epitome of physical strength and master of all trades. I liked how they didn't show jiwoon defeating ten to fifteen swordsmen alone specially being a physician and royal tutor . He is courageous but not super human.

I get your point but tbh I loved that "hug part" . That's how jiwoon is different. Hwi has made a boundary around her and jiwoon is kinda person who doesn't believe in boundaries . He follows his heart. She needed that hug and only jiwoon could give that to her. That's the foundation of their relationship . Only a person like jiwoon could break the walls hwi had made around her

You have expressed it beautifully and your words are thought provoking but what if one loves being with someone. Shares a great comfort level and feels an emotional
connect so if that person's gender changes . Will this thing take away one's love for that person?
May be my thoughts are not practical or quite filmy and also not going with this show's current storyline as jiwoon is not in love with hwi yet . He is just attracted towards hwi because he reminds him of dami.

If he gets to know about "twin thing" first then it's not odd to find resemblance between dami and CP . There is a possibility that he considers the woman he met in forest as dami ( who is still alive and hiding her identity because she is a twin of CP)

Dami has made jiwoon a better person but unfortunately dami has lost herself in her way of becoming CP hwi so now Jiwoon is going to bring that dami back . I really want to see will jiwoon confess his love to hwi and later find out her truth or he himself succeed to identify dami mean while and pretends not to know the truth and then confess his love .

That was my first kdrama so it has a special place in my heart

She is quite eccentric . One side she was ready to behead jiwoon's friend other side she fell for jiwoon after seeing his affection for his friends so it's like opposite attracts. She seeks those personality traits in her partner which she admires but can't own !!

The reason I avoid story with love triangle these days is that people inorder to show their ship better unnecessarily start spreading hate for the other character. It first starts with throwing hate on other character then leads toward so called "healthy criticism" for the other actor and with time it gets messier and all this literally ruins the whole essence of the show. Why can't people like one character and keep respect for the another one . I can't change the mindset so better I change my choice and watch shows solely based on leads .

If that would be the case then jiwoon had not been in close proximity with CP during their first official interaction. Neither he had seen her face nor he knew about her rank that time so I really don't think he seeks closeness . It's the way he respond to people . He is bold Even during his interactions with shin so eun .

That's the exact thing !! jiwoon is independent , educated and free spirited. Tbh this is what I loved most about his character .

Yeah I can understand the scenarios of protecting her from military forces and assassin but what is it about ball and water?? She is a CP and may be a king in
future . More than these unnecessary romantic guardians scenes . I prefer
Meaningful conversations betweenn jiwoon and hwi!!
