I haven’t watched it yet, but I saw a clip of Lee Junho with chapped and blistered hands from washing clothes and working and it made me remember the scene from The Red Sleeve where Seong Doekima has chapped and blistered hands from washing clothes at night in the cold. I wonder did he think of it.

Yes, her whole opera “for him” was a condemnation of the Shen family for choosing the path to live. She was understandably scarred by what happened and what she witnessed, but her blame was misplaced. I’m only up to ep. 41, but I doubt that will ever be addressed.

I mean, I guess he finally checked off all the boxes?

A refusal that long needs a turn you can watch. I don’t mean the intimate scene itself but the unsatisfying resolution to the 39 episodes and 5 plus years of refusal they used as plot.

I have to say it. I’m so disappointed with that lead into their intimate scene after she put him off about 5 years. I kept thinking I must have missed part of the drama and actually went back to be sure.

OMO …..the old king, YiSan’s grandfather, did such an incredible job! This drama should have a higher rating. I usually hate when I see people say that, but here I can’t help saying it myself.

I’m really tired of the snobbish attitude that if you dislike this drama, you are somehow lacking in comprehension. These comments and reviews are on the 8 hour adaptation of a 1700s novel, however, it stands alone. No past adaptation or the original novel itself should be factored into its review. If you think it’s a 10 or if you think it’s a 1, that’s on THIS drama. Don’t bring interpretations and talk of complex plots and layers if they come from a source outside this drama and really, just stop talking down and attempting to shame someone who didn’t like it.

I watched the whole thing because SYJ is FL and everyone talking about how much sex and nudity it has. 😂 Well, there was her 🦶🏻.
