the action scenes, im very impressed. Reminds me of those old martial arts chinese movies like Wong Fei Hung
Long lost wuxia! I'm baffled why this kind of drama has zero publicity. I only knew from a reddit post. Even my friend who resides in China doesn't know it's being broadcasted, no publicity at all??
I watch this after reading a recommendation post from reddit, what a hidden wuxia gem. I didn't know it was on! Why is there no publicity for a well made drama like this? It's a long lost traditional Jin Yong wuxia. Every action piece is well choreographed, I'm impressed and the color palette is not like other chinese drama, very clear, like a movie.
I'm not a fan of Qing dynasty filmwork, but the art design for this drama is quite good, and there are many characters with flesh and blood in this drama. The main Hu Fei dude is quite dumb, but he's likeable and I assume he will grow more brains and brawns later, the main girl is strong and and smart! I like the Miao Ren Feng dude too who looks a wuxia character coming out from a manga and I feel quite sad to read below thread that he will not appear much later. The other girl just appear, can't say much of her. Other people are either too shady or not likeable enough hohoho. I will try to stick with this, 40 episode sounds too long
