First of all... Your rant doesn't made any sense to me especially the mother beating the drunk man with her shoe... I know the mother's behaviour is annoying to many people... But telling the whole drama is about a mother obsessed with her daughter? Doesn't make sense... Out of a whole 40 min drama... You only saw the mother and no one else? I know it's not possible for many people to understand mother's behaviour... So you can FF her scenes... And BTW, MDL is the only place where I'm seeing people complaining about mother... If you see any Chinese web sites nobody is complaining about her... There are very great dramas where there are far worse mother than her...

Her calling up YZM means she cares about him... She is seeing him as her own son! Even my mother wakes me up for breakfast on time even though I am sleeping... Someone won't do this for a stranger...

And most importantly... Her mother beating that drunk guy... Will you be able to keep quiet if you see 'YOUR' DAUGHTER getting 'HARRESED' in front of you? Will you be able to keep standing? And those boys were not handling that drunkard properly out fear because he is a customer! Even MCH was not able to do anything properly because he is a customer and people were filming her as well! So should the mother simply stand there and watch her daughter getting harressed and do nothing?

But still... they wanted to spend some time to know each other more properly... They are adults so first they need to get to know each other more deeply before coming to a decision... Who said if a man and woman goes out together, they should first be bf gf first?

Honestly I enjoyed all the mother scenes... Her taking care of YZM, missing her family and especially her saving CH... These were the best!

I can understand... Maybe it's not allowed in China... I mean have never seen any C drama where a foreigner person actually speaks English or his native language...

I find many similarities between my mother and MCH mother... So I see my mother in her... That's why I'm not able to hate her

It was only for ep 22... Otherwise most of her scenes are not so good 🥱🥱

Maybe for the audience... A lot of foreigners in Chinese Dramas are shown speaking Chinese

She does try to rectify her mother but in a polite way... In Asia we can't scream at our parents as it is considered bad... However she did give her mother a god lecture in ep 16

I think he is just happy that his crush cooked something for him the first time... Also he must have worked very hard to solve the hotel issue.

It's actually even before at... ML starts liking her around episode 9

I'm also not skipping the mother's scene since it's quite relatable to me 😅😅

You are going to miss so much... The story line is very interesting... FL is calm from outside but very strong from inside... ML is a shady but sweet person... Their grandma is the classiest person... Don't drop the drama because of 2 characters... If a drama has positive characters it is bound to have negetive characters as well... We usually skip those scenes with mother and ex... But overall this drama is very good...

I don't think she has accepted his proposal... She still behaves normal with him... Plus it's already months after her break up. So there is no problem.

So do you want to stretch it? Also it didn't get solved within 1 day... And it's not that dramatised... There are way more dramatised stuff in many dramas... They tried their level best... And remember drama only has limited time so they can't show everything in proper order...
