She has sensitive hearing... Observational skills comes after lots of practice in the profession...
She was actually trying to hear the ticking sounds of the clocks... The set up of the room of councelling is quite different... This type of room are quite silent that you can hear the ticking of the clock... If the ticking sound is not correct then the victim might feel uncomfortable and will not express himself... So had to distinguish between the right clock.... And yes when she saved that guy, she displayed observational skill... This skill is very important for a counsellor and psychologist to analyse the state of victims mind through their body language...

Well I think it's quite accurate since the script and set up of the psychological scenes where prepared by professional psychologists and councellers.... Jing Boran does have his important part... He will help Yang Zi out of her depression in the later episodes...
