Maybe I'm different, but "The bride of Habaek" and "The school nurse files" were great for me. "The school ..."…
Omg I can't believe people say that they are clearly wrong lol. I actually really love his portrayal here. I am actually impressed. Then again I saw him only in bride of Habaek and the acting here is such a big jump from that. Suzy has been okay for me but the acting in ep 9, 10 was so good. I really like her here. I am impressed by both.
Yeah her arc seperate from the MLs is sorely needed. Sigh why call her one of the leads at all? At this point it's grandma who is the fourth lead lol. I think that if we do something wrong we should apologise sincerely not necessarily by cryinof course (still his crying was cause he felt a lot of guilt and remorse) but an apology means nothing if you don't change. I see DS having done both.
Actually he is not the one alone who drives the story can't we say the same about Grandma anyway. Point is not that the drama follows a formula to a T. Maybe there is some other explanation that will fit but right now I can't remember all the things I learnt about story telling. Actually I now think it's the lies and the letters that are the main characters lol jk.
Right my bad I was writing two separate sentences. First when he apologized to Dalmi you know the one he cried a lot but I know you didn't like that scene. The other is ofcourse when DM confronts IJ and DS tells her to apologise. I don't think I can write down the whole scene here, heh.
Well if predictable is your idea I don't know what to say. But then characters like JP are already plenty they are typical actually. With DS it's not so.
I actually find him have more depth than JP. DS has the most flaws and therefore one with most room for growth. I find that pretty complex. There has been the point when he apologized the during the confrontation with In Jae he admitted what he did. And then in that scene with DM when he tells her how he really is different from the fake NDS. He doesn't want to confuse her and how she is free to forget everything and pretend nothing happened between them. He was saying that it's up to her. If that isn't growth then I don't know what is.
Except what's different here is that DS growth is actually shown alone. It isn't always as clear cut as what I said that was just an example. After all the way stories are written keep on evolving. If anything it's DM who helps DS grow. It's not like JP has had much to do with it. Anyway it's still possible for DM to end up with JP.
Look I'll explain. We have the story start with him right? Then whenever any interaction is shown with DS and DM it's with JP's eyes. JP is not shown to have spent much time with her alone. Whenever JS thinks of DM is mostly when DS with DM even though there has been those few times he did spend times with her. And when DS remembers the times he spent with her it's mostly always with her only. Hence JP like Nick and DS like Gatsby. Now DM is Daisy cause well you know what Daisy was for the story. That's why she doesn't really get as much focus as we'd expect.
Actually after reading the article I think it's the other way round. If I understand correctly an example is great Gatsby. The narrator Nick Carraway is the main character while Jay Gatsby is the protagonist. We see the story from Nick's eyes but it's Gatsby what the story is really about. Am I getting it right?
I don't understand this part at all. You do know, if you actually counted screen time of all the actors, NJH has…
I hope that isn't true. His arc can still get fullfilled. I already believes he's on his way. I want to have faith in the writer. Still if I must its DS character I am worried about cause of time jump.

Not necessarily. That's a cynical way to look at things. Thing is JP doesn't 'need' her either. Even he can get someone else who really loves him for him. Also just because he has money and fame he's not 'entitled' to her either. Also if DS doesn't need her for his happiness why does JP needs her for his?
What I love about this drama is its consistency with its themes. One is about CHOICES. Its been the main conflict…
I find the drama actually well written. And feel the writing is being misunderstood. It was very clear to me when I actually started paying attention. It's funny cause as much as I loved the third episode. The other five early episodes didn't feel all that interesting but by now I absolutely love the drama.
the early episodes was so good. That's why I don't like love triangles.
