Title His Man Spoiler
I love it that Chang-min and Jeong-Hyun seem to be gravitating to one another! I wish that Eun-chan and Chan-gyu…
I get b* vibes from Hyeon too, a bit fake but who knows.
I'm starting to care less about the 2 upstairs roomies, they just date and are daring with the guys but keep choosing Changmin while having no much interaction or quality time at least that we see, it feels like is just face value, for the looks. This is why I love Changmin and Jeong Hyun pair, they are taking the time to know each others and their personalities and feels like they are building an strong connection, there's chemistry there. That bed moments were soooooo cute, even if it was unconscious, the fact that his own bed is at the same room but he goes there... sweet. And his face was glowing and couldn't refrain the smile while on the phone with him, it was way different with the other two calls! Best pairing and the only one that has potential as of now.

So, more fill in plots, usually and absurdly related to women, in order to drag the actual main plot of the BL and just give us that at the very end so they don't have to show much actual love between the characters. What's new?
A silly pet peeve of mine happened too. As someone with passion for arts and cultures, I just hate when they talk about a place or a culture and then show something else unrelated or are hella inaccurate. The character said that he went to Barcelona to follow Gaudi work and after that to Prague and Budapest, so why on earth the pics he shows are from the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao made by Frank O. Gehry? Nothing related at all!! Make him say that he went there or pick a related picture, jesus. It takes a second search in google images to get a Gaudi work pic. At least it was in an European city haha.
Ok, i vented already.

People are too simple 😑 I find Changyu adorable, but that's not why I think he's passive or anything like that.…
Exactly, you treat him and his character the proper way instead of asuming stuff and making a caracature of his persona.

I honestly love him a lot and I do want to protect him at all costs because in my eyes he's so adorable. That's…
For me there's a fine line between finding someone sweet and cute and liking his character and making a 26yo man that probably has had a lot to deal with already and is more mature than 90% of the people that try to "protect him" be a caricature of a role stereotyped and asumed just because he is and looks a certain way. The first one is ok, the second, i find it problematic.

I'm starting to feel a bit weirded out with the narrative created of "Chankyu is a cute baby that we should protect" and so on. I feel like some are making the guy the stereotype of a bl bottom and are looking for his stereotyped top and that's been Changmin. All this narrative feels a bit problematic to me.

Everything you can think of in order to drag it and not show any kind of physical intimacy.
Exactly!!! Is an issue that we should put out there, is about their mentality, and not just with age gaps or whatever, if not let's all recall examples such as Cherry Magic, two working adults that are in love and in a relationship, a series where they even hinted that they will kiss but closed the freaking elevator door so they don't have to actually do it. And they just put out a movie where they are supposed to be a couple for years, bare minimun contact and not even one good morning kiss.
I do know that is also an issue with heterosexual love as well, but i can no longer excuse productions that do this, it gets to my last nerve. Let's not even start with the infantilization of women or i'll riot.

How many obstacles are they going to put in their way? The teacher? The girl student? The boy student? The woman…

I think most people will like it. I did, but I found the ending trite and simplistic.
The same old problem of not knowing how to wrap up stories...
Thanks! I guess i'll go for it since it got my attention and nothing much does that this days.

this is so good. japanese bls this year are so good fr!! japan does it better wbk
Totally with you. Before it was Taiwan but nowadays Japan is again doing it right for me, especially when it comes to writing. My only issue is that when it gets to a climax, when the love finally overcomes them, most of the time (in movies they do a better job) Japan bl is too afraid to get there, barely any intimate touch, couple like moments, glances, kisses... a lot of times it ends up being odd and anticlimactic. But this has been a general issue that I have with Japanese media overall, how they write women characters in romantic dramas being my main issue.

I miss the days when we had a few good BLs airing and coming from multiple cultures like Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan... What happened? Now if lucky we get 1 mediocre every now and then (and let me clarify, this one isn't it).

Another one with potential that became redundant and basic.
I knew that they were going to give us this exact shitshow of a last hardship plot to fill in. This is exactly what shows do when they have no more story, nothing else to say and no will or talent to write deeper and touch you. They could have build more angst and on the shadows love and cook this romance more deeply and slower and i would have been inmensly happier. Even tons of flasbacks of how hard it was to live all those years as best friends while in love secretly would have been totally welcome. Instead they went for the basic route.
Lately taiwanese bls are on a slump, they just don't hit the mark as they used to.
About the second couple... one has good hair.
5.5 out of 10 for me.

I'm so glad that he is no longer a Johnny, that company is so restrictive with their artists... Now he is free to do whatever he pleases and looks like is finding true happiness doing the projects that he wants to do, working internationally, living abroad in Spain, France, learning new cultures and languages.... Happy for him.
I wished so bad that Haruma Miura had this freadom he needed and wished for, his company and so made him so overworked his entire life since he started at freaking 7yo... he had no life of his own ever, so not free to even study abroad for a while like he wished to do... Who knows how things would have turned out if he had what Yamashita has now, It pains me still to this day.
