Ok so... years have passed by and i honestly felt detached already at the 4 season of Love Playlist so let me clarify. Ha Neul is here with Ji Min but recasted with other actress? And Pu Reum is not even a cameo character?
This was a good series, full of life lesons and funny enough considering the main plot, realism when it comes to writting a consistent story and characters. There were some points that felt unnecesary, draged or irrelevant, like a waste of time, and i wished to see more pivotal scenes where their fellings were growing and their love was getting warmer that somewhat felt missed during a few mid episodes. Other than that, i have only good words about it. Everyone was human (even the ghosts), they felt like people, complex, not traped on a stereotyped fake box, with flaws, fears... The story wasn't a chiché as well, and most of the actors were top level and i was able to simpatize, care for the characters and understand them. Their ending is brilliant, couldn't have asked for a most perfect ending to this story, neither could have imagined one. 8.5/10

I understood perfectly and i politely explained how the jokes work, because it's not that they believe that it will sky rocket the ratings, it's just a joke because he promoted it just like when Jin did that comical song about a Tuna and they joked that it will top Billboard and made funny edits all over twitter. A joke is mean to be a joke and again it's not something bad or that makes any bad impact to the drama, if only it's more promo. I just think is quite petty and unfair to turn positive things into a bad light all the time so i gave you context. If you wanna see this harmelss thing as bad, you do you.

Is not that deep or something that takes away from anyone for you to be triggered, it's simple marketing and good publi of the product. I'm not even an stan but long time ago a few random products got sold out after fans saw him using them and the fandom made the internal joke of saying "Jk's impact" when he promotes something or is seen with something that it's marketable they joke about how that thing is going to be sold out or do better, not making it about the product or thing not being good before, just a joke because he has a following. Just like when Jin does something, is in a funny list or conquers anything they say "the power of worldwide handsome", again, internal jokes that don't harm anyone and just uplift people with happiness and funny comments. I don't think that you should take offense for something positive, fun and harmless. Is not like they are saying that the drama sucks but they are going to watch it for him. If this triggers someone to watch this drama and see for themselves how good it is, is a good thing, and if not, it doesn't take away anything or how good it is either.
Am i the only one mad at netflix using gong yoo and bts jk as the 5th resosn to watch this drama and army are…
It is more promo from a person with major following at the end of the day and the "his impact" is just an internal joke. I don't see why it has to be taken as a bad thing yet again. Relax and enjoy.
Unpopular opinion. But I'm just glad that the rating's higher than Business Proposal. No hate for it, but 8.9…
If this is an unpopular opinion the world needs to stop because i wanna get out of here. I started it because it had a similar rating than this one and i'm experiencing a cringe fest of cliché stupidity that i can barely handle. This one, feels like a masterpiece. Opposite worlds.
I have a hard time to see a proper sad ending being well done and satisfactory considering this progression. Since…
Yeah, we totally are on the same boat here. That "cemented in concrete" relationship (your description was on point haha) is not something you can break with something mundane like they do in plenty of superficial dramas. And a sudden death before they really get the climax... cruel and most likely unsatisfying. IDK if they really want us to feel that emptiness, that hole. That's why i could barely deal with it if it's after their love finally blooms. But still, would be cruel, just a bit more easy to diggest being able to hold on that love fulfilled. I saw a Taiwanese bl series where this was the ending (after a lot of pain they can finally be together and then... a motorbike kills the kid with the painful life full of hardships and loneliness) and funny enough it was brilliant, the pain that the one that it's left deals with was explored intensly for a whole episode, it was so painfull yet so real that i completely loved it in a twisted way and with a 2 days headache after all the crying. But now, give me a happy ending please haha, cannot wait!
What do you guys want?A rushed happy ending.A proper sad ending.
I have a hard time to see a proper sad ending being well done and satisfactory considering this progression. Since as of now there's only an age factor, a matter of time, only a new dissaster like a death or something can be a forever gone. And i think that could only happen in the future, like, they will have a happy love first. But who knows (how hard it is to say this of 99% of kdramas, where we all know what will happen? This tell us how good this one is), i´ve seen bombs being thrown last minute, so the key will be what happens at 21 & 25. Maybe shit happens but a forever broken... After all they experienced? In my book only a sudden nuclear bomb size issue yet to come can break them forever and ever. I could accept it if is properly done (and i trust this crew), but i remain positive since i think it would need even more explanation than a happy ending.
Haven't been this into a Kdrama for years. Love the photograpy, the dialogues, the direction... but the key is the way they constructed real characters and their progression in every sense is stunning. I trust they will deliver in the next 4 episodes but as of now, i would have understood if this drama had 20 episodes.
I would describe my experience with this series like when i open my phone and get a delivery from McDonald's. We al know that it's trash food, yeah it's bad, but while eating it, it feels good and gets you full. The acting is below the bar, so the writting and pace of events, but i quite enjoyed it for a plain binge and now move on. The theme itself is quite cliché but not that much in BL territory so i give it a pass. The actors are insanely cute and they actually had chemistry together and kissed properly. I thought that my standards on that got higher, but after watching 2gether the movie the other day and some trash where the actors are totally unconfortable with portraying gay characters, this is already (and sadly) a point of improvement and a thing to praise here. Liked how it ends, not how is constructed and told, but i liked that they didn't go for the power of love conquers all (even if i can see all the plot holes by miles, i choose to be blind). I would have a different opinion if this was 16 eps of 50 minutes each (and if i took it seriously), like, if this was a menu from a good restaurant, it would be unacceptable. I want more quality in BL land overall, and the second half of the year has been the worse, but i don't mind some basic and a bit bland fast food once in a while. So, in conclusion, i'm clearly hungry.
I'm like... and? They shown me the conflict and that's about it. For it to be more impactfull we do need to relate and connect with the characters, understand why they act the way they do and why they think the way they think, see their love story develop more in detail and we do need to know what's next after setting the conflict. I know is a short movie, but if they planned something with deepness you expect deepness, and we just got till the first layer and it wasn't even well portrayed or developed.
Tha same boring shit we have seen a million times in kdramaland but even way more cringy, suffocating and redundant, if that was even possible. I have been skiping and x2 speed since ep 4 and i still cannot diggest how awful this is. I'm the kind who finish things even if it has to be done watching the last eps in 5 min each, so i will, so i can be sure later on that even the wrap up was awful.
IDK if i should jump into it... love Singto but if this is exactly like the korean movie and ends the same way... I felt baited with the endind of the movie, it's the same here?
She looks so old. Idk if it's the filters or whatnot but in search www she did not look like this. I think the…
I mean.... their characters are supposed to be like a decade appart or more so i don't see why they should look like they are a similar age, because they aren't, and you should expect them to look like that if you read the premise. I don't see her looking "old" i see her looking like she is older than him and that's fine, that's how it's supposed to be. Not talking about you tho, but there's such a big preasure for women in this industry to look like they are forever in their 20's and have 0 sings of aging, and when a woman looks a day older than that it's already an issue, and it shouldn't be the case, so i'm super glad they casted her, a woman that it's older and is aging like any of us mortals do.
We saw two young guys that took a different route and way of dealing with being the same by heart, insecure people in need of true love and care. And they found that in each others, but their personalities and ways of dealing with their issues made it hard to be honest about it. As they matured, they knew and luckily were able to bare themselves and secure their true love. One might like one of their personalities more than the other, or you can see the bad sides of both, but man we can also see the good and the emotions inside of both. That's something that i value from this series, the fact that i got to know and understand both of them and how they act in every moment, see their reasons behind, hear what they say but know the true meanning behind that may be the opposite... That's my standard, my red line. If i got to know and understand the characters, why they look the way they look, say what they say, act the way they act... the series + the actors did a good job, and then if i can see their love, progress and have a well build story that i fancy + deep characters, i'm more than satisfied. This is not I told Sunset about you level, but this is a well done series that in short time was able to give me all of those to certain levels each. 8/10.
I was so happy with the first two episodes... And then they had to throw all the cliches, nonsense ridiculous plots, pitifull woman stuff and ruin it. I'm not felling sorry for anyone, i don't empatize with such a cliche poorly ejecuted and the build up for the feelings of this two is nowhere to be found. I think that it will be hard to like this, i'm already smelling the witch mother plot by miles.
