You come to my memory very often. We were close in age and i grew up watching your works and you being one of my most beloved japanese actors since high school.
Still have your smiling face engraved in my mind as a totally clear picture. I just wish you had a lot of those real smiles during your life and hope you are resting in peace. Thank you for existing.

After episode 11, i started skipping a lot of scenes and focused mostly on Ou Wen and Mark. So that's why i will just focus my POV on their story.

At the beggining I LOVED Ou Wen as a character, he was powerful, honest, sure of himself and his masculinity... He said important stuff that should be preached, like "why a gay man cannot be manlier than you?" or "i am gay but i have standards" . I felt that the second part of the series focussed more on his vulnerable side, but he was still very level headed with a lot of stuff, such as how he made Mark understand the reality and mindset of his parents after learning that his son is with a man.
They are supercute together, but after the sweet and interesting building up, i wished that it went a bit less comical and more emotional at some points, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, i wished to witness much more love and development between them, i'm talking about intensity of bonding and emotions, not sexual (not that i would mind but is not what i missed). Like, what the actual, we even got to know that they were living together randomly when Ou Wen needed Joanna to get his laundry insided of their flat. They take us there abruptly, without getting to see how that happened. And then they had the pregnancy issue. I missed the progress and the peace of the story completely, and when they enganged i was happy but felt again that we jumped a lot of important development, like if i jumped episodes and that's why i'm missing things.
For me this was terrible writting. You want people to be invested, in the characters, their relationships... And for those IT moments to move us as they should, you have to be showing us the development, small moments that mean a lot... Not jump out of the blue from sex to baby to house to marriage, bye.

Overall, is sad that they didn't had more screen time and development between important moments. Still super iconic start and couple, i will miss them but all the lack of development made me be less invested and sad that it's over than what i predicted to.

Every kbl that i saw the movie version is just the series compiled but who knows. I loved what they did with the Japanesse Life: Love on the line, the series ended in their 40's but the movie added a couple of scenes that explored their 80's and end of their lives, walking together their forever line. Very fitting.

About the look alikes... A bit? haha for me they look alike and don't at the same time. It's like, the vibe and overall struture is the same, specially the eyes, but at the same time i can clearly see what differs between them. Same thing happens to me with Mix from ATOTS and BTS's Jin, their structure and the feel they have is similar in my eyes.
Let me just droll a bit and get inmersed in my Bangkok memories while i say that, New is even more handsome in real life than what he looks like on TV., if that's humanly possible.

Thank You! That's exactly the issue here. They could have told the 7 episodes in 2 or 3, but in those 2 series they could have more episodes and still work (but it's perfect the way it was done).
I was thinking to myself that if at least they had the kind of tension moments that make you scream and live for their chemistry... And their long stares are somewhat dull, like, specially Mark is very good at acting those things, but here i don't see the vibe between them as special. I love staring, like, i could die when Pupa and Tian looked at each others in ATOTS, their loving eyes consumed me, and truth to be told, the majority of us loved this series a lot, a series where there's only a single sweet kiss at the end. Why? because there was an story, deepness, slow burn romance ticking all the boxes... And let's not even start with ITSAY, because we could write a thesis about how amazingly that slow burn romance was made. It really bothers me when this people think that wanting love between the characters of a romantic series is wrong or we are just thirsty whores that want to see them dancing the tango. Porn exist for a reason, and love stories too. Love stories can have sex and still be beautifully told, and they can omit those and still be amazing, is not the issue here.
For me here there's a lack of plot and the dragging is making it bland instead of romantic. But i do think that the acting is quite nice, and of course, the food.

For me, after the break (ep 11) feels like they didn't knew how to keep the story intresting and they made poor plot choices, specially with the main couple. Many things and actions also feel out of character, some major changes in their minds are way too sudden... and overall they just complicate their lifes stupidly.
The good thing for you is that you haven't been here week by week and months without a continuation, maybe it won't feel as boring and disappointing to you.

Agree, as of now is not something out of this world, but ot looks like an ok series (only watched 2 full episodes so far). The long stares trying to hypnotize each others or read each others minds still don't bother me that much.

It was cute and full of good quotes and lessons, it follows the movie and it's quite on pair with it.
They are still strugling and making huge decisions, while being confused and in love. I wish they showed more of the love tho, i wish we could have more romance in the mix.
Some episodes felt a bit flat but they wrapped it nicely, there's room for future seasons while not being upset if it ends here.
The dealing with an homosexual love in a catholic school was a very good premise to explore and it was perfectly portrayed.

And exactly, this is a forum and what you think is your opinion not the authority, remember that. Because so far you just tried to police patrol others and leave the message and why some people got emotional and felt judged with a prejudiced lense. When many felt bad about it, it is good to point it out and acknowledge the issue.
I not only was able to reflect about myself, i still explained why those statements are problematic and hurtful even if the person doesn't mean it in that way, they still are prejudiced assumptions that can harm individuals and comunities so I'll leave it at that.

You are totally right, is such a wrong lesson to put out there... twisted as hell. And in my eyes i could never see that as a oh poor saint, what a good soul, ike they try to do. Would it be that shameful if a protagonist wanted to have a sex life and meet people when he was single? Jesus.
I wish i could do that and stop watching some series (specially the last couple of months were bl and lgbt+ content has been awful), i'm the kind of person that even if i'm not enjoyong it i have to see it end. If only, if it's really really terrible, i wait till it's over and skip through everything just to get a grip.

What pride are you talking about. The person that i replied (not you) still said that being here exclusively for the bl "it's not something to be proud". It's still a judgemental statement and is still wrong to asume that the people that are indeed here for their story are just "fetishize couples BL" or the "people make that they want to see isolated BLs in a universe of their own / reduced to fantasy" comments. All that are judgemental and asumptions made by this person.
If this person wanted to know why people felt that way it could be either asking or they could read coments like por example mine where i explained why at first i was here for the entire drama but because of how they are handling it i'm only inmersed on the Ou wen x Mark relationship now. But opted for asumming the bad instead, so yes, still judgemental in my book.
But maybe i got too carried away, and i could have said it in a different way, i admit that i wasn't polite at all. You know, those are prejudices and stigmas that people that enjoy bl and lgbtq content (specially the ones that aren't part of the comunity or are still inside the closet) have to deal with and continuosly explain themselves to others, even plenty of people hide it as if it was something sameful, something that they shouldn't enjoy or watch . If something, we should normalize and encourage that people will make every type of love story normatives and we all have the right to prefer whatever even if it's not a love that reflects their heterosexual personal love life.

I feel like trying to make Fiat the standard bl passive bottom from thai bls they are taking away the only cool side that he had. If i disliked some of his ways before, now i cannot stand him, he comes across as fake, childish and a Martyr that gives his ass as a sacrifice.
And about them as a couple... is weird, they have hot, sweet, bonding moments and all, love to see that, but i still don't feel the love chemi between them in the way i like it, in the eyes, in the small things... is a bit dry of emotions.
