I still like the plot and believe is an important thing to talk about in the bl industry, and it was very well acted, so there's that. But this ending was terribly disapointing. Maybe because i was taking this quite seriously.
So, why Marco and Bas had to do that behind James and Ait backs? they supported Bas all the way and were there for him. They didn't need to be outed against their will in order to make Tee pay. Same as Bas was the one entitled to his own truth and do whatever he wanted with it and whenever he was ready, so did James and Ait, but he and Marco always decided by themselves and put them in really bad spots. If they really wanted to help them be free and happy together (i believe so) this wasn't the way. That's not what a friend does.
And last but not least, the series failed to make Tee pay and be reivindicative enough. What he did was a crime, and that needs more than being outed in a press conference with a video of him trying to get his way with actors and run away. I could have done without the endind song and use those 3 minutes to see how things went for him after the press conference, see him paying.

You took the words out of my mouth. I was quite pleased with the first 3 episodes and then... I feel that they had a nice idea, story and all, but they don't know how to execute it properly, maintain the momentum and make it explode at the perfect timing, basically they don't know how to narrate and elaborate the story and the continuity of it in order to tug our heartstrings as something lke this should. Hope it's only in the midle of it and they at least get a good grip of how to end it.
Sweet, cute and japanese emotional style. So far on my top 5 of 2021. The main actor, Jin is hot as hell, his face is just right on my alley, but man, his hands, i never thought i had a thing for hands till now haha. Love the entire casting and love me a japanese rock band drama. No other country conveys music based dramas like Japan, they really express all their emotions through the songs beautifully. I just wish they delivered on the love deppartment as much as in the music/emotional one, more like in the intimacy, touches, development and all that jazz between the lovers, it would be the icing of the cake, but most of the times, Japan is still Japan after all.
It's a sad day with the "Light on Me" (2021) finale airing in 2-3 hrs , I think there's one ep left of "Given"…

Currently i'm watching stuff like Call it what you want 2, Love area or the Yearbook, not that great tho, the best one is the last, and it's getting a bit... too much, let's see. As for what it's coming... again, not that much that excites me, Bite me with Mark from LBC starts the same day as this one (ep 11) and i kinda have some hope there. Also, Love Beneath the Stars just started, is a 6 ep series continuation of the movie, i liked that one so i have yet to see if the series makes it better or worse. As for completed hidden gems... probably you saw most of what's there, I still cannot believe that some people haven't watched the best bl that GMMTV has put out there, He's comming to me, so just in case. Not totally gems but good... Totally with you. I'm personally enjoying this drama a lot but it would never ofend me that others may think differently, i don't think that i need to be on a high horse, each one our own and this is a free space where everyone can have a voice and interact or whatever. I don't see why some people get mad about negative views and expect this place to be only the good things, is way better to see every angle and maybe see other things or think about stuff that you haven't thought.

Where? i literally see no haters. What i do see is a lot of people with a negative or not so great opinion about the acting, writing or directing of a show that they have watched in order to form an opinion about it, and that is fair. Not liking something and explaining their thoughts doesn't mean they are haters.
The cringe was hardcore this last episode, i really rolled my eyes every 5 seconds haha. The last scene when the pendants are glued while on their necks... i was about to pass out istg. They were cliché and full of tropes the entire series but the amount of fake sugar in the last episode was too much to handle, till the point that i completely stopped enjoying and was an strugle to finish the series (even watched half episode, took a break and watched the other half 2 days later). Also, i really despise when a series uses as the last conflict arc the "i'll go away because someone asked and we will be away from each others to prove our love to other people", so it didn't help.
For me this series started very promising and loved many aspects of it, a good premise, production quality, great taste with the sets (the house was super aesthetically pleasing), cool action stunts for bl, good pairing... But everything went downhill quite fast, the tropes never ceased, their chemistry was lowering when it was supposed to be increasing with their feellings, the sexual tension was nowhere to be found and the romance and kisses felt forced... Added to continuosly repeating the same thing with the mafia trying to hurt Sky in stupid ways, poorly written, characters that made or said things that had no sense and were stupid there... and all this considering that even from the start i never took it super seriously, so imagine.
Cannot say i'm not disappointed, i am. Started as an 8 for me and ended as a 6.5.

IKR! So disapointed that they keep following that kdrama trope... I know that they try to make the protagonist even more liked and "good" so they can be day and night with the antagonist, but you shouldn't put out there that msg. It makes it look like it isn't a big deal, but here So Hee could have made a terrible impact on their lives. People need to learn the impact of this kind of actions. A redemption shouldn't be done like is no big deal. I even saw kdramas were people literally tried to kill others, put them in jail or many other terrible stuff and they are forgiven with just an apology... wtf, those things keep pushing me away from watching them.
I'm not happy about those scenes where Shi Woon is comforting So Hee and telling her and Da On that she was "just thoughtless". NO, she was bad, manipulative, egoistic, jealous and only thinking about herself. So Hee clearly understood what would happen but still pulled the trigger hopping that, knowing Da On's personality, he will let go of Tae. That's not being thoughtless. She outed two teenagers in a conservative country. She needs to learn what she did first ask for serious forgiveness to BOTH OF THEM and then let's see how time unfolds. I will be disappointed if a great guy like SW ends with her.

Quality production. One of those good philipino ones. The acting is really good. A simple covid story that it's a door to discover two really intense and deep emotional thinkers. They need to walk their on way for now to hopefully, meet again when both are on the same page and ready to be together. Hope them and we will get a second chance to explore this.
