You can still give it a try to learn about autistic persons. I know nothing about them previously but now i got…
You started a conversation about reaction to the show and it ended up with some anti US comments out of nowhere 😅

For the record I understand how you feel, I also tend to form an opinion if I would enjoy a show or not based on people reactions in the comments. I may try this one out of curiosity about the autistic people since I don't know much about it myself though.

If you are a woman or a man attrated to men, i wonder if the reason is that as a straight man, I'm probably more focused on women while it would be the other way around for you.

Oh my gosh. This.>It's too hard to read something with subtitles! How can you even watch that??? Its going too…
Truth be told, when i started to watch kdrama, i had a hard time to tell some of the actors appart (for some reasons I had a easier time to differentiate women... 😅)
It took me a bunch of dramas before I was able to get better at differentiate people, so i can understand where this kind of comment come from.

Regarding the rest of the article, i pretty much encountered all the pros and cons when suggesting dramas to my friends and family, so i definitely have to agree with it!

What? She is one of the most beautiful Chinese actresses that I have ever seen, put your rude opinion somewhere…
There is no need to keep going on and on, but i will say here that i certainly don't support cyberbullying, slandering people, shaming them, insulting them or expose their private life on the internet. I just don't think the original post come anywhere close to those.
I didn't think when i posted my first message that things will get so heated, I just wanted to express my opinion. So I apologize for that and if the mods want to remove my posts to keep things cleaner, feel free to do so.

I never said i was offended to being called a green tea, i just asked to know what it means. I also never insulted anyone unlike Vee.
I don't really see the point of continuing this discussion anyway, there doesn't seems to be any middle ground here, you are either a fan or a hater with "evil intentions" (?).

Don't worry about my daughter, i will not let her be bullied, but she certainly don't care if some random people on the internet think that her beauty "is nothing special among pretty women".

So, because you have parents everyone should find you absolutely beautiful? What kind of logic is that?
I have a daughter i love very much, i hope she will find someone that will think that she look very special but that doesn't mean that i care about all the others that think that she look nothing special.

I don't think beauty is a very important cultural thing in my country, that may explain the difference of reaction to that initial comment.

Edit : Regarding your last sentence : that's the whole point of the discussion. I disagree with you that the original comment is rude, and i think that nobody should be offended by that, being a fan or not. Should i be offended on the behalf of the others chinese actress that *i* find more beautiful because someone posted that she is the most beautiful chinese actress? They also have parents afterall, that's insulting to them. That's obviously sarcasm, she has the right to think what she want...

You call me "green tea" again and again without even explaining what it's supposed to mean, so yeah. Maybe i am. I still don't see how I'm offensive by stating that every one should respect others opinion. You are the one calling me name without any arguments. But yeah i guess we are the toxic one and you are the nice one. Good for you :)

I'm sorry i still don't understand. I really don't get why people react that much because someone got a different opinion on a subjective thing. Someone have the right to find her the "most beautiful Chinese actress you have ever seen", why is the OP wrong to think differently?
And i didn't say that you need to be a fan to be offended, don't misinterpret my message. You are the one that mentioned a "fan being under attack". I'm not a fan nor an anti fan of any actress, singer or whatever. I just think it's common courtesy to not attack people that stated an opinion different than yours with such an extreme reaction. That look a lot more like toxic behavior than the OP to me.

Anyway I'm not here to start a fan/not fan war, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. As for myself, i enjoyed watching this actress in LoF no matter what i think of her beauty, and i will certainly watch other dramas she is in if it's something that interest me.

I have to say that I'm not familiar with the whole "fan" thing. I just didn't find the original comment to be that offensive. I mean it doesn't say that she is ugly, it barely say that in the eye of the poster she doesn't specially stand out. I just don't understand why it make the so called fan react that much just because someone got a different opinion.
For the record I have no idea what "green tea" attitude mean ?

Seems to me that you are a bit overreacting. I enjoyed watching her in Legend of Fuyao but i also don't find her specially beautiful. "Beauty" is very subjective and certainly not the measurement of someone talents.

Why the hell did Netflix only purchase the rights to half the episodes? Bit livid here. Why bother with the licensure?…
All episodes are on Netflix, there is 20 episodes of 1hour instead of 40 eps of 30mn

I'm not sure this is really the place for your rant either. Viki is completely upfront with the fact that you…
Even in Europe price may differ a lot. I pay 18€ for Netflix (4k), 8€ for iQiyi and around the same price for Viki because I pay the US subscription for a larger choice. As far as I'm concerned I've found a lot more things to watch on Viki, especially regarding Korean drama, and there is more languages available, so the price doesn't really surprise me. HBO is not available in France, to access their content without a VPN, you have to pay OCS for 10€ so the price is higher than iQiyi and Viki here.

Viki is around the same price as WeTV and iQiyi in France, and it provide subtitles in much more languages than the very approximate English subtitles of the two others. Netflix provide professional subtitles (that are not even better than Viki one's) but cost nearly three time the price, and there is pretty much no Chinese drama in the French catalog. So the comparison is not so easy. If Viki would have to pay for translator, the price would explose since they would have to provide for many more languages than the other platforms or they will lose their non English speaker customer.

I don't want to bring gender all the time in the discussion but I have to, so bare with me.We are talking about…
Took me some times to find the title back because I forgot to add it to my list of watched drama, it's the web drama "Like". For some reason I couldn't stand the ML passiveness until the end, so i had a hard time to understand why she would chose him over the other guy.

Most of the men that i know are not interested in romance or at least does not admit they are, probablyfor the reasons you mentioned. Most of them would watch an action drama (for example) if the romance is not a centric element, but will avoid those with heavy romance element even if they are interested about the subject of the action/mystery/thriller part.

As one of those apparently rare (straight if it matters) men that enjoy watching romance drama, i have to agree with you. I think there as only been one drama were I was disappointed with whom the FL choose in the end, but that's mostly because I found the ML very annoying until the end. And definitely agree with you regarding love triangle in general.
