I skipped most of this, only watched the brothers. Could not watch FL.
Yeah, the brothers make the series bearable, and because there are no mysteries in their investigations - which by the way revolve around the same cases - and besides the fact that the story is boring, the romance between the two characters is mechanical and they have no chemistry. The ML even in general is not that good, even with his brother. In truth, it's really Park Bo Gum who made the series and which makes his evolution and his story interesting, apart from him, nothing is really worth it.
I'm still waiting for Vagabond, we all know that the season ended specifically on such a cliffhanger because they were counting on a season 2, unfortunately Covid-19 took place in the meantime, actor Lee Seung Gi told himself that he wanted a season 2, especially since it gained popularity by being available on Netflix. So I hope the project will be on the table again, because it's one of the best action-dramas I've seen, especially since the tone of the series and the atmosphere are mature and quite realistic, I hope we have another season and see Lee Seung Gi shine again.
They filmed special episodes - Special episodes of ''Between Us'' - for the fans because they could not film the series at the moment because of the Covid-19 situation in Thailand, but normally the filming of the series is for this year. And I know the fans are tired of waiting but this is just the story of a few more months, remember we have a global pandemic and the health of the cast and crew is more important than give you immediate content.
Edit : And as you can all see, it was just announced to be released in november of this year.
After his good performance in "At a Distance, Spring Is Green" where I must say he shone with his acting and the script we gave him, I must say I'm excited to see him in another production. I hope "Weak Hero" will be to my taste, not too much comedy but a mature production that would allow him to embody a complex character. He is one of those idols who are not extremely popular outside of Korea (in music), but it allows them to dedicate themselves and discover other areas of entertainment, like here, cinema where I think he can easily shine in the future internationally, in big productions such as those on Netflix. So I will be looking forward to his projects in the future.
I love thriller dramas! I actually lose interest in watching Kdramas in general last year but Flowers of Evil…
I think in the case of k-dramas thrillers, there are two kinds of production today. The first, those that are focused on the characters and less on the plot, rather light with heavy romance or/and comedy, and colorful tones. And second, productions that are more focused on plot intensity/mysteries or character complexity, usually in more serious and dark tones, with little or no romance, and rare moments of comedy.
I think these days they produce trillers for all tastes, just ask for recommendations for a specific taste and I'm sure people will recommend lots of good k-dramas and even underrated gems.
Yes, I wish we had more dramas with a different perspective than victims or police, but rather a main character that invites us into the complex psychology of killers. And let's get rid of the cliche of the killer - second lead, usually - becoming a nice guy in the end - unless it's done right. In "Mouse", there is a certain story of redemption or rather self-reflection but he is not forgiven or his actions forgotten, and the killer does not become a "nice guy".
Disappointed that "Mouse" is not part of the list, really a drama in the mind of a psychopathic killer, dark tones and endless twists. Lee Seung Gi really shine in it.
Share your view on your top three actors. Lee Seung Gi is probably the most underrated artiste, as a triple threat…
These days, favorite actors are often linked to their physique and not their abilities. Lee Seung Gi may not be the most handsome Korean actor but he is very talented, I can't forget his role in “Mouse” which made me a fan instantly, he radiates a lot of charisma. I like discovering him slowly in his other projects, and I hope to see him in the future in productions that will give him the opportunity to shine again.
Xiao Zhan is a very popular actor, and I still think he can surprise us, I look forward to seeing him in different roles, the latest in "Ace Troops" shows another different performance of the roles in the dramas he takes in general, I would have liked to see him again in Joy of Life season 2 but hey, it doesn't matter. Now I look forward to seeing him again in other projects.
Zhang Ruo Yun really looks like a great actor for big productions, I can't wait to see him in "The Fated General", this series looks incredibly well done. Seriously, not forgetting seasons 2 of SSS and JOL.
Yes he has a major role to play in the rest of the story. His first appearance into the story happens when Fan…
When I say shaking things up, it's by his presence and obviously his support for Fan Xian. I don't know if in the novel Fan Xian decides to fight for the throne at some point or not, but whether he does or not, he has big ambitions now, and if as you said he is supported by a prince, the other princes are not going to see it in a good way. The more, I'm sure new interesting characters will appear, and not all in favor of Fan Xian, so definitely things will evolve, camps will appear, and the return of a prince, even if he's not fighting for the throne will change things for many people.
I also hope he will be present, we missed the chance to have a bromance with Xiao Zhan even if I don't know if his character was destined to be close to Fan Xian, but a friendship of this prince with Fan Xian in perspective would be nice.
Ever Night. It has best action scenes. Not too manipulation , scheming but story is good enough to watch it completely.…
I think I will start with Young Blood or the Rebel Princess after I'm finish with my current series, your suggestions were very helpful and I will definitively check them out to not miss out anything.

Hopefully, he will be seen in the story then, he seems interesting and looks like he could shake up the dynamics at the palace and the court. I never thought about it, but yeah, I hope it's just a bad dream for Fan Xian.
To anyone who has read the novel, does the first prince, who fights on the frontier, make an appearance in the book at some point in the story ? And if yes, does he have a major role ? I'm curious about that and if we can expect his character to show up in the seasons to come.
Will it be released in 2022? If you reply with "yes", please link the source as well.
It's likely, they filmed season 2 during Q4 of 2021, so there they must be in post production. After you know how China is with the long dramas, we are never sure of anything but if all goes well it is for this year.
The synopsis is very interesting, the fact that it's not just romance, I feel like I only see that nowadays and very few beautiful productions with a different story. So I'm pretty excited to see this drama. I hope that a date will be for soon and this year.
Well if you watch passed episode 1 his character growth became like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNV9GCoUqKA&ab_channel=%E7%A5%9E%E9%A1%8F%E9%8C%84soso%E5%9C%88
I watched more than 5 episodes, but really the story is not for me nor the characters. But thanks anyway for sharing this video.
There is between Nam-ra and Soo-Hyuk but it kind of just fizzles out. They confess and nothing more happens, I…
I agree that his comment may come off as rude, but I think saying there are other things besides romance is not a crime. If you're offended, I'm sorry, you like romance, so watch romance, my comment was just to illustrate that you're probably missing things, but I guess you know that, and it's your choice. As you said very well, people are allowed to say whatever they want in the comments - as long as it's respectful.
Ps. Note that the story of the tags was not mentioned in my original comment, which means I don't care if you ask if it's romance or not, and if it's in the tags or not.
Oh, I see what you mean! Tbh, I don't watch a lot of first love. Second leads in the shows I've watched always…
I guess, I think dramas put us in the position - which is normal - of wanting the main characters to end up together, but I just think it lacks originality and sometimes it's not for the best. I admit however - what makes sense - is that the MLs are often more elaborate with an interesting backstory, it gives more value to the character, but as I like to go against the wind, I find myself enjoying the second male lead most in general, except in True Beauty where I must say that the two male characters were really well played and hard to decide with complex personalities. But honestly, to save me this kind of dilemma, love triangles are worth only watching from time to time. :)
So I hope the project will be on the table again, because it's one of the best action-dramas I've seen, especially since the tone of the series and the atmosphere are mature and quite realistic, I hope we have another season and see Lee Seung Gi shine again.

Yes, we end up as often with ML and FL as bland and stupid as each other, especially when these series take up the clichés with the FL all soft and passive towards the ML who is either an asshole or a lover who always chasing the FL.
