Since the above synopsis already forewarned of what was set - tumultuous time of war... heart-wrenching romance...…
It's so true about Cdramas set in republican era involving revolutionists and Japanese - nothing good comes out of it. Unless the drama is a short term one and focusing solely on sweet romance, such dramas based on historical events will leave us with either a cliffhanger or on an unhappy note.
Glad i waited till it's close to completion before i started peeping into some episodes of 2nd half. Sadly, not only it's open ended, all perishables are either assassinated, betrayed and killed, bombed, crushed and/or died as a martyr.
Six years since her escape in 1937, she became even more hopeful after reading an old article backdating to six months ago... Since the intruders surrendered in Sep 1945, i guess she's returning only after the Japs' exit. Realistically, finding someone in such a big country with no modern infrastructure and speedy communication, it's like finding needles in a haystack.
Since the above synopsis already forewarned of what was set - tumultuous time of war... heart-wrenching romance... we all kinda expect the worst, but still it's too much for the head and heart to absorb so many strike-offs night after night....
oh, please don't drop it if you're only interested in CP cos according to what's revealed in the last five min, ML didn't perish like all the others. But, it's an open ending though.
yup, it did kick off well with likeable visuals and props. Since the ending is already told in the 1st two minutes, i guess i can still embark on a journey with little expectation.
Despite not much of a romancing between CP in the latter part, this is still one of the best and interesting period drama for me. Love everything about it - story, costume & cast, and of course including the set of OSTs. Great job!
Congratulations Rosy Zhao and Yang Yang, and Best Wishes to the both of you and the cast and crew of Who Rules The World!😘😍😘😍😘
i mean the doctor showing woori's file to ma ri is just so wrong of patient privacy, makes sense how she messed…
Besides the OB-GYN doc breaching patient's confidentiality two times, there are many other incidents that don't make sense (yet?): FL not finding it strange that her 1st kisser doesn't seem to know her at all!; an old lady with flying kick!; the degrading confrontation in #2...
Tbh i feel like this drama can last for like 50 episodes. There are certain scenes that viewers like me would…
yup, there must have been several cuts to reduce the length to 40. But still, it's quite enjoyable for me. Appreciate the fact that they did not use animation for warfare and was actually quite detailed.
Happy you found it, it is sadly so underappreciated while being one of the best i have seen this year.
Yeah, it's quite enjoyable. I think its title cover is not eye catching, and the title is not helping either. When i first saw the cover on DramaCool, I ignored it. ran the video last night cos i've got nothing else in hand at that time. Glad i didn't miss it.

#1 don't like ML, not even once in any of his dramas.
#2 he's a total turnoff here, esp with such unrealistic script!
