Having watched up to #16, this is no doubt a WuXia 武俠 cdrama about martial pugilist leaders in Jianghu or Wulin. They are regular humans but with higher level of fighting ability & in search of the Glazed Armour. It's not a magical object. It's a key (made of Ruyi) to opening the vault containing top martial arts manuals of various sects.
All WuXia costume dramas include flying around because of their Lightness Skill (轻功 qīnggōng), a skill achieved only after years of internal energy cultivation. It is not magic.
Xianxia 仙侠 refers to “Immortal Heroes”. Heavily inspired by Taoism. Such dramas usually feature good/evil protagonists' attempt to cultivate to Immortality, seeking eternal life and the pinnacle of strength. Xianxia folklores/ mythologies feature magic, demons, ghosts, immortal diety...
Ye BaiYi is no immortal. He's a living person who still needs to eat to survive. He's still looking young because his inner energy level has reached pinnacle. Moreover, being a healer himself, YBY would know what's good and harmful to his own body.
Up to #16, ZZS & WKX and the others have displayed only high level of fighting ability and internal energy (内力 nèilì). No magical godly powers. No folklore diety or immortal.
The flute music is not magic. It's basically WKX's inner energy being transferred to the flute music. It's supposed to help calm down ZZS during his meditation and cultivation of his inner energy to alleviate the pain from his self inflicted injury at every midnight.
Although the place where WKX comes from is called Ghost Valley, the occupiers are not demons or ghosts. They are foresaken pugilists and/or people who are being chased after and found refuge in Ghost Valley. WKX is not a demonic cultivator. He is highly skilled because he had undergone training under many pugilist experts living in Ghost Valley. Up to #16, WKS' fighting skills are neither demonic or magical.
ZZS is also able to produce the powerful flute music to counter the harmful pipa sound because of his inner strength. Also, the flute itself is not a magical tool. Hence, WKX didn't even think twice before breaking it into pieces in anguish and despair.
XianXia immortals don't need swords for fighting. They have magical powers. Just flick a finger or swoosh the hand. Demons don't either. They can do mind control and many other things that normal Wuxia cannot.
