There is another version of the eps 7. 3 scenes are not the same from the eps we watched but some country got…
Thanks for the info..
I jump to twitter as soon as I finish reading your post :D
However, these 3 scenes will not change the story.. hmm..or, maybe except for the ending scene. I thought Dr. Nam was contacting Phu after he found out the truth, but apparently it is not. Maybe other issue.. Sakda perhaps?
I always enjoy reading your posts, Andaman. Thanks for another well-considered one! =)I'm right there with you…
Thanks man...!! I always enjoy your comments too...
Yeah, we have many unresolved issues here, and I think if we wanna keep the pace in very smooth way, EP9 & EP10 shall be 90 minutes so there wont be rush here and there..
If you said EP8 will be brutal, EP7 has been brutal for me too, especially the hammock scene. Up until now, I put hammock scene as my favorite among all scenes they have. It has the best script, acting, and scores.. it perfectly describes how lonely & full of misery Phupa life is, as well as how hurts Tian is when he should bear all the burdens..
I think I will make a special post for my fave scenes.
For now, let's brace 6 days ahead with strolling social medias reading all the review.. haha :D
I think these were great notes on the episode.I agree about the whole alpha thing. I think it did show that he…
Thanks for your reply!
I wish GMMTV sells the map as official merchandise too.. it is interesting when they could make more descriptive ATOTS-universe information to the fans. Or, at least they can publish it as tidsbits as what they did with Phapirun Units.
I agree with you.. I think they should make 90 minutes finale. We have so many unresolved issues here: - Confession of Tian & maybe fight with Phu: EP8 - Tian leaves the village: EP 9 maybe - Accident settlement ( I mean, whoever hit Torfun, there will be a law consequence right? somebody go to jail perhaps?) - Final battle with Sakda : 9 or 10 - Tian counting stars (with Phu?): 10 - and Tian's Dad involvement in area near village
I am affraid we cant wrap it all in these 3 remaining episodes..
The school was mostly build from bamboo and blady grass (These materials can be found around the village). It…
Sawasdeekhrap khun Joey! Yindee ti dai roo jak..
Okay, thats explain much the situation for the school..
Wow, a witsawat student!! phom mai roo but when I hear engineering student, I always remember Thai BL where almost all settings are engineering school 555555! And I have put Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai in my bucket list when pandemic is over. Just 3.30 hours flight from my country to Krungthep. I wanna go to Doi Mae Salong (the location of the series), hope they havent demolished Tian's house & the school...
1. Tian & Phu in bed scene (Phu sleeps on floor, Tian's on bed). This is where we can see how gentleman Phu is. Classic old-fashion gentleman. You can see thru Tian's eye how he really fell with him. How he's never treated like it.
2. Tian & Phu in hammock scene. OMG the acting.. top notch! You can see a lone wolf reflected from Phu expression & words. You can see how hurt Tian is when he reminds Phu of Torfun. And dont remind me of the khlui-song played by Phu (I think Earth played the khlui himself right?).. when you see the lyrics... *cryyyy* it so reflects what Phu feels right now
3. Tian teaches kids brushing teeth. This shows how an adaptive & unconventional teacher Tian is. Learning is not about formal lessons, but more applicable things needed by kids in life.
#Things I think unnecessary:
1. Phupha suddenly 'loud & proud'. I always imagine Phu as old fashion-concealed type of guy. Being naked showing his Alpha-ness to Tian a bit ruins my imagination. I mean, if P'Aof & team wanna show innuendos & flirty-ness, facial soap scene is enough already.
2. Dr. Nam investigating Tian's background. Beside it violates his ethichal profession as a doctor, Tian will expose his background by himself when he tells the truth to everybody. And I got sense that his Papa's network with the hotel near the village will be a catalyst in showing Tian's identity.
#Things I still am questioning of:
1. Those damned tea sachets! So, how's the follow up? how about the tea sachet selling plan? will it be gone? how the village's financial problem solved?
2. How the school can be repaired? by the villagers? it needs cost right and the villagers have financial issue..
3. Why Phu & rangers did not tell the truth about Torfun's death to the villagers?
4. Phu's drawing. I believe every scene has objective, even it is not directly shown in the same episode (e.g. the tea sachet). What is the objective showing the drawing to us? I bet something to do with next episodes maybe?
#Things I predict will happen:
1. Sakda is still around. Maybe he's hiding in Ghost Hill. Those two men stare Tian strangely, I bet those men have something to do with Sakda.
2. Villagers will be angry with Tian, that's why in the preview the school is empty again
3. The shooting scenes. I think it will be on 9 or 10th episode. I dont know what Tian is doing there. It seems he is being kidnapped by Sakda? or Sakda is attacking the village? Phu will be shot but survive.
4. Papa Tian and his friends which build hotel near the village. I dont know what the correlation, but those guys will give impact to the village's life.
5. Tian & Phu reconciliation scene will be in Pun Dao cliff where Tian is counting stars finishing Torfun's wish.
Anyway, EP7 is great as always and I dunno whether I can survive the full of tears EP8 or not :((
Agree.. I can say, the production team wants to potray a "respectful, healthy, and polite" relationship between…
Haha... honestly, I failed to see in which part the embarrasement should be addressed, since this show successfully touches everyone regardless their age..
Someday, in 4 weeks to go, this show will end.. Whatever the rating, whatever number of views in youtube, this shows gave me the best friday in my life ;)
Due to my unhealthy obession towards this series, I need to buy below items :D
1. Tea sachets -> GMMTV is selling it now, too bad they only sell two types: Green Giant & Tian.. I want other ones: Ayi, Longtae, Torfun, Imta, etc....
2. Phaphirun t-shirt -> GMMTV is selling it now too... dark green is great but nay for the light brown one
3. Tian's white tote bag
4. Tian's ethnic jacket (EP 5) -> when he meets Tul in Chiang Mai
5. Sakda's ethnic jacket (EP5) -> I know he's absolute evil but that jacket is a yess
6. Longtae's Akha tribe black ethnic shirt (EP6) -> when he makes the tea sachet until night
7. Avocado & strawberry bamboo basket (EP4 & EP 5)
I just love how naturally the distance between Tian and Phupha is shortening. If we don't count the scene where…
Agree.. I can say, the production team wants to potray a "respectful, healthy, and polite" relationship between Phu & Tian. Maybe because the eastern & local culture they want to embrace or maybe because there is an age gap between Phu & Tian.
This show offers a refreshing altenative for us which are already bored with what so called urban and aggresive relationship.. slow cooked food is healtier than fast food :p
Just wanna take moment here to talk about the under-discussed topic: the setting & cultures.
So happy GMMTV gave a bit background of ATOTS-universe. They explained what Phapirun is, the locations of Pha Pun Dao village, the Phapirun base, and Tian's house. I didnt expect the base is 10km away from the village and Tian's house is 5km.. ( I thought they are walkable in 5-10 minutes :D )
Watched somewhere, the shooting location is somewhere in Chiang Rai, if I'm not mistaken it is in Doi Mae Salong mountain ranges. In the interview P'Aof said they built the village literally from scratch.. I hope they will not demolish the buildings. Considering large success of this series, it would be a tourism spot and give extra incomes for the locals, besides the tea sachets GMMTV is selling now.
I also appreciate how the series respect the village culture and try to showcase it. I did some mini research. The people are called Akha tribe, part of several hill tribes in Thailand and has close relation with Tibetan-Burmese culture. You can see from their clothes and embroidery which show same dash and colours with the ones in Tibet. What suprising me is, this Akha tribe adopts Christianity as their main religion (beside the local belief of course). If you watch EP4, in Khaoneung brother's wedding, you will see he wears traditional black jacket embroided with Christian cross in the back part. I really love how the show pay attention for detail aspects!
Finally, I've found this ... "Don't look back"https://youtu.be/3WG-qnCUOPQDon't Look Back · Dream CaveFrontiersman℗…
OMG... thank you for the song... they have great scoring indeed.. I also really love the score in EP1 when Tian and Phuppa walk passing each other in the same event and their hands are rub
I list GMMTV actors which can replace current castings.
Tian: Win (but he is too tall and B-W image is too strong), Kay Kayavine, Khaotung (too small)
Phu: Joss (I cant think another actor which has perfectly built body & radiates strong masculinity other than him)
Yod: Gunsmile, Nicky Janthapan -> they are clowns of the class :D
Rung: I dunno, my reference for Farang actors is limited
Longtae: Frank, Fiat, Chimon -> Longtae casts should be younger than Tian
Dr. Nam: Mike, Lee Thanat
Tul: Sing
Torfun: any GMMTV actress :D
I think the uncut version appears in LineTV Taiwan.
I dunno why.. hahaha
I jump to twitter as soon as I finish reading your post :D

This show offers a refreshing altenative for us which are already bored with what so called urban and aggresive relationship.. slow cooked food is healtier than fast food :p
Tian, it's time to call your papa.. with his power & influence, he can get new buyer right? :p
