Wow, nope, not being deliberately obtuse - genuinely thought you misunderstood the meaning - only thing am (trying) to follow is your train of thought here... and now you're calling me names. The irony.
Um, yes those words appeared in the paragraph (maybe English is not your first language - pussies here refers to a longer word meaning cowardly - as for suicide; some korean citizens have done so after much online bullying/abuse soooo... not sure what your point is.
I believe that this series not having a rating of 8.5 above is just people's ignorance about J-Drama, in my opinion…
This! It is really frustrating reading some of the comments here - Most likely not used to Japanese cinema at all -esp the past years - this really had a film feel to it but so glad it was a series!! Even the music was so retro, but some didn't understand... Anyway, I guess MDL is not the best place to read reviews about this type of series... hoping they get approved for S2!
7.6 isn't a low rating, people think shows have to be 9/10 or higher to make it a good show.I gave it a 7.5/10…
I can't say for sure but I think, because this site has readers from all over the world, that some more conservative countries/people might lower their rating due to the subject matter itself... I rated it an 8 due to the mystery element and strong acting from the male actors here; FL was a bit frustrating but such was the script written
Kim Yoo Jung was a decent actor in her previous works, so I hope she's not going to drop the ball now and revert…
She's been acting a loooong time and after like 30 dramas and 20 movies is consider more that a "decent actor" what the heck?? She's never been nearly expressionless regardless of her beauty - she digs right in to a role - not sure what you're talking about.
Came to say that MANY older dramas are rated lower than honestly 'should' be - esp by very young viewers who IMO can't get past the aesthetic that comes with the older look/feel ---was just it looking up Han Jimin after remembering she was also in this years ago. I probably watched around 2007 and thought it was a great watch!! Definitely well over 7.7!! Seriously watch it if love revenge type dramas -one of the best.
Half good. Grid went from woah to duhh in just minutes. 1-5 is so so so good and then the writer became high midway…
This is interesting; haven't watched it yet but it almost seems there are two camps here. Some like eps 1-5 and other 6->, am wondering if it is just an audience preference of investigative/methodological vs action/sci fi or a real downturn in quality?? Again this is just based on reviews here atm.
Warning for those debating starting Part 2 - there is most likely a Part 3 and, if you're like me, do not want this knowledge to come about at 3am when you think you will power through the last episode, maybe just wait! Like wait until the last part is available - kept me up for another hour and a half I was so stunned.
Haven't watched his dramas Oh YOU ARE MISSING OUT....BIG TIME!!Watch The Fiery Priest (he won a Daesang for it…
Haha, I thought that might be the case. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction; will watch The Fiery Priest!! Bad Guy was okay but I remember something going wonky with the storyline and the ongoing discussions of this at Dramabeans, can't recall the details but his acting was good - that was not the issue...
Just watched the trailer! I love the mood/ambiance with the golden filters often used when portraying past 80's 90's decades like this - really looks promising. Oddly, while I think Nam is a good actor I just realized I haven't watched any of his dramas - if I exclude the 5 episodes of Bad Guy before dropping it. Hope this is good, am slumping and need one! Waiting for Bad and Crazy to end before I start - Netflix has spoiled me. I hate waiting for episodes these days
I don't know how many thrillers you can find; I'm running out of them (inc Scandinavian dramas) " Beyond Evil" was really good and like another poster said, it picks up as it goes along. YJG, while playing a lead, was not really the central. It became as awesome vehicle for Shin Ha Kyun and he delivered an incredible performance. For that alone you can dismiss YJG as a detraction for you - SHK makes up for it - that and the story line as whole of course.
I thought it'd be like a penthouse. But I realized it was worse than that. It's a waste of time, people.
I haven't started it yet (hate waiting on eps) but was hoping it is more like "Misty " - with Ji Jin Hee just coincidentally being in both - that was a great drama; a bit under rated.
