I watch on average 2 cdramas a year. I just had to pick this one that is currently airing 😕 The wait time is torture. Kudos to you guys who watches episodes week to week on a regular basis.

I actually dropped this weeks ago and came back here to see if I should give it another chance. I think it's permanently staying in the scrap pile.

I went back to watch The Long Ballad during Xmas and it was the only drama I have completed in 2021. I'm so glad I gave it another chance.

I know your review wasn't intended to be a comedy piece but it made me laugh. I don't recall ever seeing you rant before but for you to rant like this, it must have hit some nerve lol. That said, even your rants sound so eloquent. I wonder if Yibo needed to wear ear plugs while filming this drama.

DGSD 97 is also my all time favourite adaptation. Felix Wong as Xiao Feng was truly remarkable. Leung Ka Yan in the 1982 was great too. Funny seeing Felix Wong as the innocent monk Xu Yu in the 1982 version.

They both started out pretty childish but I find their misunderstandings quite funny and they are slowly getting some character development. I totally root for them and their chemistry is amazing. I'm up to episode 24, ran out of English Subtitles so now back to Eternal Love 3. I'll see you over on that page :)

Liang Jie is nailing both of her roles. I loved them both. I first saw her in Handsome Siblings and have been her fan since.

I have just started watching too. You are spot on! They don't try to pretend to be something they are not and knows exactly what works because each time they bring something slightly different to the table but keeping the vibes of its predecessors. This series never ceases to make me laugh and it has been a long wait.

I'm watching this at the same time as Time Flies and You Are Here and I'm trying to adapt to the contrasting roles for Liang Jie but Tan'er simply rocks!!

I love both Joesph Zeng and Liang Jie and the poster is beautiful so I gave this a shot and to my surprise I am enjoying it so far. Their chemistry is great despite this being their first collaboration. I am also watching this at the same time as The Eternal Love 3 and there is no denying that Liang Jie's chemistry with Xing Zhao Lin is sizzling but she also matches well Joseph Zeng.

I'm getting a double dose of Liang Jie though I must say I like her spunky character in E3 better. The comments on here is a little concerning about how the story and characters progress but I hope I can see this through to the end as it has been a very long time since I have watched anything.

This is indeed disappointing to hear. I love his sultry voice and could listen to it all day. I'm currently watching Nirvana in Fire and Wang Kai is in it. I believe he dubbed his own voice in that one.

Thousand Autumns is riveting, full of action and there is never a dull moment :) Complex characters and relationships. I suggest going to the NU site, read the synopsis and a few reviews to see if the story and characters interest you. One review said Yan Wushi is 10 times more shameless, ruthless and arrogant than Wen Kexing. TA is not completely translated yet and I had to continue with the MTL edited version because I couldn't wait. If you are interested, PM me and I will send you the novel links.

I feel ya. In between waiting for the subbed episodes, I have gone back and finished reading the novel, finished another novel and 70% through the Thousand Autumns novel and we are still only at episode 15! Off topic but I dare say TA is a better wuxia novel than this one.

I am also a fan of both authors :) Like you, I think the audio drama is the best adaptation of MDZS with an amazing OST to boot as well. It gave me so much feels. It deserves more recognition. It's a toss up between the donghua and manhua for 2nd place haha. The Untamed was my least favourite adaptation. I think it was a good decision TU adopted a more linear plot line otherwise it would have been more confusing for the viewers had it followed the novel. If I was to rewatch TU I would start at episode 33 but I would listen to the audio drama again and again :)

Thanks for letting me know about the donghua. I will check it out. It will be a while before TA translation is fully completed. The updates are very slow. Chi Chi is translating the Fourteenth Year of Chenghua so it is high quality. She also translated Golden Stage. I have been recommending that novel to anyone who cares to listen lol. I love GS! I hope Peerless will get a donghua and live action.

Some of Priest novels are only half translated but yes it a bit faster than Meng Xi Shi. I'm still waiting for Liu Yao to be completed. I haven't started the Estranged. The novel itself isn't complete? There's only a few translated chapters at the moment.

I love Meng Xi Shi! Which one are you reading? I have only just finished Sha Po Lang and found out today that Word of Honor will be airing soon so now I have a week to read the novel before it airs.
