At this point I'm hoping that the same thing will happen with this drama as it did with Yibo's other drama, My Strange Friend (previously Super Talent) - i.e. randomly announcing a release date like a week before its due to air. I mean it's not unlikely considering there was some activity in Febuary, but idk....
I'm pretty sure romance isn't one of the main genres, but I have heard that one of the actresses, Molly Wang I believe, is his love interest in the drama.

Honestly I have no idea (could be post production; censorship; licensing; legal issues). I know that there is a very strict censorship process in China, which can and has caused delays for years. But I have also seen several dramas which have been released within the year after it finished filming (e.g. The Untamed). (Although the release process can also be longer depending on the use of CGI and SFX - as well as any reshoots they may have to do). Honestly its up in the air unless someone publicises the cause of delay - but I believe they would only do that for shows with lots of hype/interest.
Apparently the director of this drama posted/released BTS videos and stills in January, so I don't know if that means anything in regards to the release of this drama :') I've also looked around and I haven't seen any sources which would indicate any legal (or other) issues which would hinder the release. A little confused to be honest. (It also seems unfortunate than Yibo has two dramas (and a movie) which have not been aired yet despite being filmed three years prior.)
It is real. Although it should be mentioned that this movie was filmed back in 2017. For some reason (I think because of political tension between China and South Korea) the movie hasn't been released yet. So, feel free to wait for it, but I wouldn't suggest getting too invested.
I wonder when this drama will come out. I heard that apparently in February Tencent opened up reservation channels for the drama (I think that is where people pay to watch episodes earlier than the planned release - I believe the same thing was available for The Untamed while it was airing). But since then no more news has been released. So I'm a little confused, to be honest (I mean we're already in July and yet nothing else has been said about it). I just hope that it will come out before the end of the year.
