no, you didn’t miss anything, and I understand that you thought he was gonna be eaten. I actually read the Manga after watching ss1 because I interpreted the ending as a cliffhanger, not the actual end.

I have read the manga, and can tell you that the ending scene with Keisuke is only a look into the future, not the ending. They were planning on making a second season because gannibal does not end like that. hope that cleared it up for you :)
