Ok i watched this scene again just now and I realized few things

1. While sparring (aka their mating dance 😂) ZZS noticed WKX hitting the log and it was coming at him. HE didn't jump away from it. He simply fell backward swiftly and jumped into the water. While falling he was completely calm... It is very clear from posture.

2. When he was in the water and WKX was searching for him, it was ZZS who patted WKX's back and called him to look at him. Not only ZZS did not try to hide from WKX, HE WAS THE ONE WHO SHOWED HIS FACE and WKX was the one who was actually shocked.

Also extra point, by the time ZZS showed his face, he allowed WKX to call him AXu, WKX had already cut off sleeve of ZZS (homosexual love euphemism), Started calling WKX Lao Wen, let WKX suck the poison out of his shoulder, and had already started taking care of WKX Example being - When they entered the temple and WKX completely dazed due to some scent and the drug men were attacking and ZZS gave him antidote and did not let him fight the monsters. Along with fighting his priority was keeping WKX safe.

And this part is important.. All this happened after WKX spent a whole night playing his flute to let ZZS sleep well for one night. I am sure that was when ZZS fell for WKX.

How is it possible that this show keeps blowing my mind every time??!! 😍

lol 😂 I agree WKX was much visibly gay from the start and ZZS was more subtle but my bestie already informed me of the gayness of the drama so i was sure of ZZS. 😂😂
However I am rewatching it right now and on second watch I am seeing ZZS being much gayer from first episode.
Example - When WKX followed ZZS to the mirror lake sect and had a sparring in the cherry blossom forest and kept complimenting ZZS so ZZS said "He is good at flattery".. On first watch i thought he was annoyed but no.. He is just Gay 😂😂😂

I was convinced in the first watch itself that he jumped into the water especially because he did not come up for several seconds which indicates he was taking off his disguise and second when wen kexing jumps into the water and finds Zishu, zishu gestures him to first get out of the water instead of getting agitated and losing his calm even for a second.
I was confused if i saw it correct and when i saw this scene i rewinded and watched the scene again to make sure that's exactly what happened.

he was one of the best motivated villain in any recent show and then his character did not get anywhere because they gave such a pathetic backstory. With the amount of emotions he showed in the previous episodes towards Dan I was expecting some beautiful preexisting friendship/bromance or something similar for which now he feels betrayed but then...
he got nothing. Watched this show 2 months back but it still makes me mad to think that this was such a great actor and character wasted by the writers.

they made it together when there were not any mobile hone available and Yi Jin pretty much vanished for months but decided to give up because they were busy in job!!!

The ending broke me. But I also knew people were going to die. However I thought it will be Go Ae Sin who died and everyone else will carry on her legacy. But happened exactly opposite and I was so broken. But it also made sense considering they wanted to portray Korea itself personified as the female lead and which is why they all were protecting her which meant they were protecting their nation.
Still does not hurt any less oh god.. And I think it's my time to rewatch the show AGAIN lol
