RANT ALERT: I am surely in the minority here but i miss the days of simple yet high quality K dramas. When I see the hype around this - i constantly keep wondering why I am watching this. The short answer is there is nothing better in K drama land, right now. But I cannot believe I am watching unintelligent billionaires who dont need conclusive evidence, nit picking in-laws, loud in-laws on the other side plus a super loud aunt, a terminally ill patient looking fresh as a daisy and wandering around, a SNU lawyer reduced to a family cook/puppet . Can they make it a little more believeable with more substance than style? Can they give it some depth, some semblance of intelligence? Looks like none of that is needed as long as there are good looking H/h, amazing wardrobes, cars and houses, some unbelievably coincidental childhood encounters and foreign locales. I am not looking for a documentary or a slice of life drama but this very same plot could have been made so much more meaningfully.
