I would have loved it better if Bong Hwan had remained in the Joseon era and embraced womanhood along with his love for the king. The ending feels so sad because the king seemed to be so much more into Bong Hwan (soul) than So Yong.

The bocchan's actor can't act. I'm only watching this because of Kiyohara Sho.

I would have liked this show better if our young female lead did not have to end up with a geezer.

Although we all love happy endings, this is one drama with an alternative ending that sat well with me. I thought it was a beautiful way to punctuate their love story - with an ellipsis instead of a definite fullstop.

Wonder why I kept thinking of Naruto, Chakra and Impure World Reincarnation throughout the drama... I did not feel that way while watching (both seasons of) the anime version earlier; which I thought was more charming. Gonna read the novel next cos I'm really curious about the original.
