On Can This Love Be Translated? Feb 4, 2026
I quite enjoyed the ride, I think I liked the first half more than the second, but I did like the Do Re Mi sequences. Hiro was a cutie pie, he grew up to be a fine man and I hope love comes his way. Second couple was a bit of a question mark for me, it felt rushed and I would've preferred to have a loveline for Hiro instead. Oh well, all in all, I'll probably rewatch at some point, cause I love travelling and main leads were adorkable. 8/10

Realistically speaking, how many people would actually pull out a bag of boiled eggs on a bus? 🤣
about 90% of Koreans lol While traveling alone in Korea, a photographer gave me boiled eggs at 2 AM in the morning on a lonely mountain, while a taxi driver offered me fresh Tofu and a security guard who gave me a ride to the train station bought sandwiches for me so I wouldn't go hungry. Koreans believe everything is better with food and love to share that sentiment. It's actually very sweet :)

Title My Lovely Journey Spoiler
none of the above. really
I always need a sprinkle of romance in my dramas, but I was not disappointed with this one, even though they did not become a couple. It is clear that they care for each other, and they become closer over the course of the drama, in the final episode they are sort of on a date I would say. It's nothing definite, but it lays the foundation for season two. If you like traveling, are curious about places in Korea and Japan and enjoy slice of life, I would say: watch it. Make sure to stick around until episode 3 for sure, because ML only really gets more screentime after this.

What a lovely journey indeed. It felt like watching poetry, sipping a beverage in front of a magnificent view. Somehow I did not expect how much I would love this drama, it was deeper than I thought it would be. All the individual stories were beautifully told and touching in their own way. As a huge fan of Kim Jae Yeong I hope we'll get season two soon, and more screentime with him, including his backstory and how he fell for FL. I really want to see their romance blossom. Very much recommended to everyone who loves traveling, beautiful scenery and slice-of-life dramas. 9/10 from me for enjoyment.

Title Spring Fever
series has not yet ended.
It's a total cheesy romcom, 100% happy ending for sure. No worries.

It's worse than that. It's one thing to act like a stiff and arrogant character. It's another to deliver every…
You should watch 'It's okay, it's love'. It's an old drama (2014), but my favorite to date. It's so good. Do Kyung Soo has a supporting main role in that (don't want to spoil too much), and his acting is fantastic there. Give it a shot!

Title Dream to You
Well then u haven't seen my roommate is a goomiho and may I help you and if you are saying this even after watching…
I tried watching my roommate is a gumiho three times and dropped it three times due to lack of chemistry. I'm not saying it's her fault she overacts, maybe she was made to do so by the director, but it's not my cup of tea. I have seen her in serious non-romantic roles, these were good, which is why I am saying I just don't like her in romance dramas where she usually plays the same kind of annoying character. So, if you love her, good for you, but let me have my opinion without being insulting.

Title Dear My Room
Contrary to many others, I actually really love this drama. It's my third time watching it. It's very soothing and sort of gives me energy at the same time? Perhaps because I can very much relate to FL. I quit my job because I couldn't take working 80 hour weeks anymore, I was so exhausted and felt like I lived solely for my job. But then Covid hit and it was impossible for me to get a new job for a while. So I felt like I was hovering in the air somewhat, spiraling into something like depression, only not really, because I was still functioning? It's hard to explain. What helped me through this period was craft, art and DIY'ing things around my small space. So yeah, this drama really hits home. Now if only I had had a Seo Min Suk around to help and fall in love with haha This drama was what made me fall for Kim Jae Yeong, way before he got his big break. So I come back to this whenever I need some perspective and just positive vibes :) Unfortunately the subs available are really bad, often incorrectly translated and the grammar's wrong. Someone started subbing it on youtube with good subs, it but stopped after episode 4. Well, luckily I understand enough korean to make sense of it, but it does take away from enjoyment. still 8.5/10 from me.

The matchmakers was good as far as I remember, not a favorite of mine, and I don't think I finished it, actually, but watched until almost the end and I liked it.
On The Tale of Lady Ok Jan 6, 2026
I wasn't sure what I'd expect, I am at episode 4 and it feels like I watched an entire drama already. It's really fast paced, a lot of things happening and several time-skips. So far I am loving it, but it's definitely on the darker side as there's a lot of injustice and almost every episode ends with the death of one or several people. Just something to be aware of. There are sweet moments as well, but the drama definitely overshadows it. Not a romcom. I am curious to see how everything unfolds and I hope it won't be too heartbreaking along the way.

Surprisingly entertaining and with deep messages. Yes, this show definitely has flaws, the production value isn't…
I'm just bitter we didn't get a single kiss, peck or even long hug from the main couple. Especially after they were really dating I'd expect some kind of show of affection...

Title Fall for You Spoiler
it does, but it’s clear from the start who FL actually likes and she doesn’t date the 2nd ML at any point.
Initially she doesn't actually like anyone because she considers them fictional characters. So they're basically friendzoned and she's just generally nice to everyone. That changes as she adapts to the thought of staying inside the novel though.

Title Fall for You Spoiler
nvm, ML and FL are good for each other. Give me the 2nd ML 🫴🏼🫴🏼 i'll keep him for myself LOL
LOL agreed omg, SML is such a sweetheart. Han Se as well, actually. I did love ML as well, though, so for once I was okay even with Second Lead Syndrome.

Title Fall for You
Surprisingly entertaining and with deep messages. Yes, this show definitely has flaws, the production value isn't as high as with other shows and especially the editing (cut and sound) feels a bit disjointed. It's a High School romcom full of clichés and the acting mediocre. It's perfect for a light watch, though, and I loved some of the messages in this. Definitely a good coming-of-age series, if you enjoy a bit of cheese and won't take everything too seriously (like, what was the Jebi's room-make-over scene? lol Ridiculous but ok...). And I wish they'd have shown the other characters in the end as well. I don't think i'll watch it again, but a 7/10 for entertainment overlooking the many flaws as it's a low-budget production.

Title Queen and I
the plot of traveling into the future will always be a fun watch but im always dreading the inevitable makeover…
It actually doesn't really happen. ML is really smart and adapts to situations quickly, so he picks up on how to dress by himself very quickly. It's really a breath of fresh air this drama. (albeit being old lol)

"Moon Lovers" definitely if you like a bit of heartbreak, "Mr Queen" is fantastic but more on the comedy side, "Arthdal Chronicles" is fantasy but also big on the feelings, "Splash Splash Love" is a great one-shot (more like a movie), "Moon Embracing the Sun" is old, but has beautiful cinematography and great acting, it caused quite a stir back when it aired. "Queen for seven days" is tragic, but certainly a great drama. Personally I also quite enjoyed "Secret Royal Inspector" and "Missing Crown Prince" is also good, even though some things annoyed me. There are a lot of historical dramas that are supposedly good but were too cheesy for me (f.e. Love in the moonlight, 100 Days my Prince)...

Title Queen and I
Right? Episode 14 was perfect for the ending, there was no need for the last two.
I wouldn't say unnecessary, it just becomes very emotional. I personally liked episode 15 and 16, but you'll have to be prepared for a bit of heartbreak. Still one of my favorite dramas to date.

What do you want from a historical drama? I can give you some recs if you like, I watched a ton... I saw in your list you mostly watch new dramas (2016 or newer), while the vibe might be different in older productions, there's some really good ones. My favorite oldie is 'Queen And I', it's a time travel drama, but has quite a few historical parts, and BIG FEELS. The beginning may seem a bit difficult to get through, but it's really worth it imo!

What the f**k? Why would u call the actors ugly? Be so for real..
Your comment's pretty rude, even if you don't care for an actor's appearance, you don't have to throw around such insults. Personally I think ML is extremely handsome, he already caught my eye in Suspicious Partner. FL is beautiful, too, her aura in Run On is on another level. So year, to each their own, I just wish people wouldn't be this mean.
