I don't usually bitch over how overrated a show is, but if there is one, it's this one. This deserves a 7 at MOST, much less if you ask me. Honestly, there is like... no plot. The love-line is super cute but cheesy af, and everything else is just plain bad. I can only shake my head in disbelief of those MDL ratings.

I have to chuckle about everyone bitching at how bad the writing for this drama is. Trust me, it's not. You just have to pay close attention. There's a ton of rules and variables to the world and the drama, a shitload of plot twists, and if you zone out for even a moment, you're likely to be lost and blame the lack of understanding on 'plot holes' that don't actually exist. I am not saying this drama is perfect. There are indeed some scenes that may seem repetitive, but they all serve a purpose, and it's because of an ever evolving world that's difficult to grasp.
Personally I loved the drama from start to finish, even though I admit the beginning was just top-notch, compared. Their romance is sweet and heart-wrenching at the same time, as is the fatherly love. The side characters are super funny, the music is fantastic, the villains and back and forth of the two worlds will keep you at the edge of your seat. It's been a while since I've been so invested in a drama and I recommend it whole heartedly to those that seek romance paired with action and suspense. Just remember not to watch it at 5 AM ready to fall asleep as you might be missing some important things ;) 9/10 from me.

Omg so overrated! This drama would have been good if it had been 10-12 episodes. I really loved the beginning -…
To me, it feels like you didn't pay close attention. Firstly, I cannot remember in which episode, but after the writer gets back his face, Chul says he realized that the writer wasn't actually a 'creator'. He could only control the handful of people that he drew. He would have had to create billions of people, if he had included the extras and variables in the drama. Secondly, even those characters that he created, could gain a life of their own, if they started to act outside of the frame that was meant for them. That's the whole point of the drama. They could escape their predestined fate and characteristics. It may have been careless to try to solve it with a dream, and even giving him his own face, with that I agree. But that's human. We make mistakes, and we pay for them, too.
Personally, I am quite picky when it comes to fantasy/sci-fi dramas and always find plot holes to nitpick, but in my opinion they did an excellent job in W. Every time I thought 'but what about--?' they explained it in the next moment or episode.
Maybe you should rewatch it at some point? :)
On Something in the Rain Apr 29, 2018
I am at episode 5 and I am starting to get bored. I really love slow romance dramas, with little conflict and just beautiful depiction of life. While their chemistry is off the charts, and I am really enjoying this, there are also some super annoying parts:
1. her family. Like, her mom, honestly, I cannot stand her.
2. Her ex. Call the cops.
3. The music. There are a couple of songs that are super nice, but they keep repeating the same ones over and over again... I especially cannot hear the "Save the last dance for me" song. CRINGEY.
4. Veeeeeeeeeeeeeery artsy and repetitive slow-motion scenes where nothing ever happens. It was cute at the beginning, now it's getting old (especially when they choose a shitty song as layover...) They stretch a scene that could be 1 minute long out to 10 minutes...
Kay, sorry, I am done complaining, I love the main leads to bits, just saying, this is not the best drama of the century and doesn't deserve such a high rating in my opinion. Gonna watch the episodes one by one so I can hopefully stick around.

WHAT???? OMG I'm so very sad for you that you think friendship doesn't exist. That's so tragic. Friendship is…
I think the most important thing about understanding friendship is knowing that it's not all sunshine and rainbows. It's also work. It's hard work, and even if you give it your all, you might change and drift apart. That's very sad, and unfortunately it happened to me many times as well, but it's a part of growing up. You'll meet different people that take turns walking you through epochs of your life. Those are called 'friends', even if you end up separating ways. Of course, that doesn't mean that occasionally there aren't friendships that really last a lifetime. But those are rare and built on mutual trust and understanding and one must remember to cultivate that friendship. Personally I think that the longer friendships last, the more difficult they are to maintain. But eventually, having people, friends, you can rely on, is very important and worth everything...

I like both leads for different reasons. The promo posters and the story don't give away which guy will win her…
He's only unselfishly thoughtful in regards to his love interest. He doesn't give a damn about anything/anyone else, which I think cannot be counted as maturity. Well, I guess it's tons better than in the beginning, though. I do feel sorry for him because of his family.

I agree, I am still waiting for some kind of reveal as to why he rejected her in the past and treated her as terribly as he did. As it did appear he already was aware of her. While I don't hate him, and I can see some character improvement, I don't like his uncaring attitude. He treats everyone like crap and doesn't put any effort into it, except if he has some kind of gain. I've never been a big fan of the 'Tsundere' type. Maybe it's cute when you're 15, but not at 25, sorry.

i can't imagine the relationship working out, since he's not human. this is like the opposite of i'm not a robot
Yeah, maybe they'll make it so the robot collects all the 'memories' and passes them down to him once he awakes from the coma. or something.... LOL who knows, but I am excited for this one!
On That Man Oh Soo Apr 24, 2018
Hmmmmm, okay, so I was wondering what I could expect from the final two episodes because everyone was hating on them, but I actually thought they weren't that terrible. If you've made it this far, you can as well finish it. Yes, it is a disappointing ending for everyone expecting a happily ever after. Yes, this drama has so much wasted potential. But it's not the worst drama ever made. Personally, I barely have questions about the ending. I know what it means, and while I think they could have done much better, I can live with it. I think the ending shouldn't be the factor of forgetting all the sweet moments we shared with those characters.
I agree that the show gradually went downhill. I think my favorite episodes were 1 to 3 and around 8-10, possibly. It's not a drama to binge, it would get boring and repetitive. But I loved all the main and side couples, and the amazing chemistry. I am just sad they didn't manage to weave the magic plot realistically into the romance story. Many things didn't make sense here.
Anyway, after the second half, I have to drop my rating from 8 to 6.5. Even so, despite all the bad things, this drama made me smile and squeal many times, so it's just what one would need after a long day of work... Not recommended if you look for a fantastic drama, but okay to kill time if you don't expect a happily-ever-after.

Oh, come on, he's so handsome. I absolutely loved him in Twenty Again
I loved him in Twenty again, too. But his partner was about his age. I don't usually have anything against age-gaps, but almost 10 years is quite a lot, and Sung Kyung looks super young, while I think he looks older than he is, which makes it uncomfortable for me to watch.

I think 2017 had some pretty good dramas: Chief Kim, Chicago Typewriter, Tomorrow with you, Just Between Lovers and The Package were my favorites of 2017, besides Age of Youth 2. However, I agree that 2018 has been very weak so far. Let's hope it's just gaining momentum...

"Flirting" like in Lookout/The Guardians??didn't like the ending of that one though...
I haven't seen that, so I cannot compare. Have you seen 'Tunnel'? I would say it's on the same level as Jae Yi/Seon Jae. There are possibly even some more scenes in Mad Dog. They have amazing chemistry and worry about each other a lot. There's loads of bickingering, too. I keep rewatching their scenes, as they're really cute together :) Give it a shot!

I enjoy all these tropes, except for Nr. 1. I mean, she can be hardworking or she can be cheerful, or innocent, but pairing all these together is like... just no. Could there be a leading lady more boring than that?
On Rain or Shine Apr 2, 2018
This drama is definitely a slow burner, especially after the strong beginning. I cannot say it is my favorite drama yet, it might not even make it in the top 10, but it is without a doubt a beautiful and heartfelt drama. There is literally no character I hate, not a single person I truly wish misfortune, and even the ones that were infuriating at times, were simply human and got what they deserved at the end - and there is hope they will be happier that way.
What I possibly love the most about this drama is that it teaches you, 'blood is NOT thicker than water', as long as you live earnestly and sincerely and you give as much or more than you take, there will be people willing to sacrifice their everything for you. I have so much love for Halmoni, Noona and Sang Man, I cannot even describe it. Of course, this drama also shows that life is damn hard, and even when you feel like you've hit rock bottom, there might be even more misfortune awaiting you, more than you might take, but even so, don't give up, never give up, because a miracle might wait around the next corner. Kang Doo and Moon Soo were strong leads with some great character development and lovely chemistry. It was heartbreaking to witness their torment, but the message sounds loud and clear: Don't feel guilty for being the only one surviving. You have to be even happier, for those that passed. Remember, but don't waver.
For all those life lessons and more, I still rate it with a 9.0, although I agree the plot of the first half had more power and wit than the end. I am not sure I will rewatch it, as it sure takes a toll on your heart, but I will keep it in my memory for a long time.

The first two episodes are somewhat slow and just building the foundation. You need some time to warm up to the characters and the dynamics, as they are so different from what we are used to. I hope you can give it a second chance, and watch at least until episode 4 until you decide whether to keep watching. It's when things start to really pick up and unfold.
