Contrary to most people here, I enjoyed the first half much more than the second. The second leads started to really get on my nerves, In Hee and Chang Ryul just didn't know when to stop.I really enjoyed the beginning of the drama, it was so funny and refreshing, compared to many other romantic comedies. But then the clichés started to pile up and I just wanted to curse at the screen. It's a nice watch over-all, but there are definitely better dramas out there. The story was too simple over all. Good acting though, and fun comedy. A score of 7 in my books.
Anyone know of any other good revenge type dramas? Already seen Healer, this one and Healer are both great drama's,…
If you love City Hunter, you'll probably love Pinocchio, the 'revenge' acts/revealing the truth are very similar, and they make you question choices and morals in life, I don't know how to explain it better, but both really made my view on politics and news broadcasting. Oh, and i can really recommend 'I remember you', it has to do with revenge as well and is action based. The main character is a genius, so it's also very interesting.
The only drama besides 'It's okay, That's Love', that I've given a score of 10. The plot was superb, the action intense, the emotion gripping and the first half was also really funny. Even though i'd have liked some comedy elements in the latter part of the show, I understand why they couldn't include it. Personally I loved the final showdown, it really brought me to tears, but I would have been happy about a real conclusion to the love affair. Oh well, let's hope for a movie follow-up?? Fantastic drama, I can only recommend it to everyone!
Ahh, I agree with all of the points you made above, those often result in a messed-up/boring/pointless story and the drama doesn't hold any more appeal.
For me personally, I have another, rather selfish and biased reason for dropping a drama, and that is when I obviously ship the 'wrong' couple. *dramabutton* I know it sounds stupid, but how can I bare to watch 20 episodes of the woman or man falling for the wrong person? Ahhhhhh, it makes my heart bleed. So yeah, I dropped Emergency Couple for that reason, and put The Producers on hold for now.
Another reason for my dropping dramas is over-acting and bad writing. Just can't take those.
Ahh, I was really just going to watch it for Lee Jong Suk, he's amazing, I've loved him in every drama. But now i'm really torn, the reviews for this show are so bad... I guess it'll just be a waste of time T__T I hope he'll have another lead in a great show real soon!
I didn't like the first episode, it was really boring, and the second one was funny but didn't intrigue me. I already hate the sister and the cousin (?) of the guy who was killed in the beginning. So far, the other supporting characters also don't seem very special. I only like the heroine so far. Is it really worth watching if I didn't enjoy the first two episodes? :( It has such good ratings but I just can't seem to get into it.
I don't really like Park Shin Hye as an actress but I love Lee Jong Suk, would I still be able to enjoy it?
I didn't like her in You're beautiful, but I loved her in Pinocchio. I must say I liked her more in the first half of the drama, but that is probably because I generally enjoyed the first half more than teh second. Even so, it's a great drama, 8.5 in my books.
It was okay but I don't know why it reminded me of Boys over Flowers so much. also it felt like an otome game…
I totally agree with you. I hate it when every single guy on the planet seems to fall for the heroine. At least Jeremy could've remained as a side-kick and good friend, but no, they had to add some romance there, too. Ruined it for me :(
Unfortunately I must say it is overrated. I enjoyed the beginning despite some ridiculous moments, but the chemistry dwindled with the time and there were too many cliché moments. I barely made it through the final episodes. It's a shame, it had much more potential. I would've loved to see more focus on the industry and Mi Nyu's involvement, struggles and such. The 'Fairy' started to annoy me to no end, and so did all other female characters, except for the stylist. If you enjoy dramas with more mature themes, I believe there are better dramas out there for you. If you're really bored, it's an okay watch. At least the music is really nice. I rated it 6,5/10
