Totally agree, great review I love your emphasis on societal attitudes towards women in the workplace and the standards of dating. I think its an aspect that's always overlooked by people who had issues with this show. Personally I think its done really well. Also I love how the romance develops, there's something about it that's very believable and compelling at the same time!
You raised some good points I had totally forgotten about like the cheating that doesn't lead anywhere and Joseph's…
Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad you found it helpful! Pointing out it could have been a movie is an interesting thought and I like that you brought up Devil wears Prada, I definitely see the parallels between the two.
I know this is a little late, but just thought I'd say I agree with a lot of what you said. Its definitely one that is really fun to watch, but if you think too hard about, you will find logical inconsistencies that bring in question some of the writing. I think the only thing I didn't fully agree with you on was your hair statement. I would definitely be on board if this was a film made in the states because of the history of racism we have(assuming you're from NA). I find that places that don't have the same history of racism tend to look at other cultures with reverence, so I don't really think its fair to play them by the same standards. Also I understand the drug aspect feeling racist, but the entire crew was a bunch of misfits that did something on paper that's deemed bad. Also I personally thought the best thing about this movie was how well done the trans representation was done with bubs, it was really cool to see and something that you never see in the states.
I felt the same way about this show. You gave me a couple more incites to this drama that I didn't think about before. I hope you keep up the great reviews, it conveyed the story greatly and was entertaining as well lmao. Also don't worry about the people in the comments, you can tell their crazy when they attack you, just for your opinion.
