Cute funny (Shounen ai) BL
For those who are unaware the what shounen ai is. Shounen ai is a genre of anime and manga that focuses on romantic and emotional relationships between male characters, emphasizing emotional connection over sexual content.Definition and Origins
Shounen ai, literally translating to "boys' love" in Japanese, historically referred to stories depicting romantic relationships between male characters, often targeting a female audience. In Japan, the term originally described relationships between adolescent males or between a boy and an adult man, but by the 1970s, it evolved to focus on romantic connections between bishonen (beautiful, often androgynous male characters), regardless of age. Unlike yaoi, which emphasizes sexual content, shounen ai prioritizes emotional intimacy and the development of meaningful bonds
Now that that is out the way. I found this to be a cute funny manga and this live action being and page by page was nice to watch. The episodes are about 20-25 minutes long. The actors for ML did a wonderful job of presenting their characters. It is meant to be silly and fun which it was. I would rewatch as one of those mood changer show. If in a bad mood it will definitely pick your mood up with all the goofy nonsense.

It seems a bit confusing especially since there is now two new ppl one of them being a baby (asian) Oscar. Although Gao Shi De could be the father seeing it stated he was gone for 2 years instead of the 2 months he stated he would be gone. I don't feel like the baby is his. There is a small scene in which you see medical bills and him seeming stressed as he is messaging Zhou Shu Yi. Later you see Zhou Shu Yi with luggage walking upon a path only to find his lover a baby and with a woman. He makes the assumption they're together and Gao Shi De has a new life with said woman & child. This mindset of Zhou Shu Yi he leaves without being seen & without question ghosts Gao Shi De. Gao Shi De makes the decision to go back to meet Zhou Shu Yi at least once. Thus setting us up for season two (fighting with no 2)Was this review helpful to you?

If you have ever read the novel Shui Qiang Cheng is good at making love and hate the 188cm gang. unfortunately this adaption did NOT do her justice. Thus is a BL story without any BL. It is missing so much from the novel tbat are key elements to drawing you in to this world she created. It felt like they ripped her work and stumped on it. Even of they censored they boylove parts it could've made it better they just took it completely out. I won't be watchung it again but I do look forward to her works with other companies/ studios to make her works come to life.Was this review helpful to you?
