The characters are interesting but the overall plot seems like a mess indeed. I stayed for Xie Yun and A'fei and still watching it because of them. If somebody made cuts just for their scenes I would have just seen that and called it a day. But still not something I regret watching and I haven't read the original novel so I don't have anything I can compare it with.
Super excited for Duolou Continent especially because of Xiao Zhan and for his sake and mine, I hope the production team doesn't fuck it up because I have heard the novel is incredibly popular

Yes, me too! I liked how the both of them don't need to go into corny declarations of love but they have reached this understanding of mutual love and what could be more romantic than risking everything one's got just to hear one more sentence from the other? (in a'fei's words :')
