Modern times has hit MDL as well. Before I had a general feeling for ratings and reviews, and could pick ehat I liked or not. Now I’ve given up. I mean, there is a drama I really liked, that has a 6,7!! And that’s just wild.
The jdrama from 2017 was my first kdrama ever, and I found it a bit weird at the time. After reading the comments, I expected to not Like the movie, but since most here loved the jdrama and I was a bit ambivalent to it, I was open to me maybe liking this movie. And I did.
At first I struggled a bit with the new Momo, but he grew on me. It worked that they switched the breed, since that gave the room for a change in personality. In the end, I liked the message: Should you choose the perfect guy society and you think is best, or should you pick the one you are most comfortable being yourself around…

There is a lot of great American movies, and the few you mention here is not new. Because there were good American movies, now it are far between them sadly.
